Abstract

Für ein Kraftfahrzeug bestimmtes, zumindest abschnittsweise deformierbares Ablagefach, mit einer einem Insassen zugeneigten Prallfläche und einer Innenfläche, die im Bereich einer Öffnung des Ablagefaches aneinander angrenzen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sowohl die Innenfläche (5) als auch die Prallfläche (3) durch einen Insassenaufprall voneinander abweichend verformbar sind, so dass die Innenfläche (5) und die Prallfläche (3) relativ zueinander in eine Deformationsstellung beweglich sind, in der ein Randbereich (7) der Innenfläche (5) durch die Prallfläche (3) gegenüber dem Insassen abgedeckt ist, und daß die Prallfläche (3) und die Innenfläche (5) an einer in der Deformationsstellung unterbrochenen Sollbruchstelle miteinander verbunden sind.

Description

Dabei ist ein Deformationsglied unterhalb einer Armaturentafel zu diesem beabstandet angeordnet, und dient so als zusätzliche Ablage. Das Deformationsglied ist hierzu als ein Hohlprofil mit einer dem Insassen des Kraftfahrzeuges zugeneigten Prallfläche und einer der Ablage von Gegenständen dienenden Innenfläche ausgeführt. Bei einer unfallbedingten Vorverlagerung des Insassen trifft dieser mit seinem Unterschenkel- oder Kniebereich auf die Prallfläche, wodurch es zu einer energieaufnehmenden Verformung des Deformationsgliedes kommt. Nach einer Ausführungsform wird durch die Prallfläche und weitere seitliche Träger ein Ablagefach für einen Ablagebehälter begrenzt.
