Die für diese Einstellung bekannten Vorrichtungen, bei denen zwei kurvenförmig gebogene Flachfedern zusammen mit der Ankerzunge eingespannt sind und durch eine Schraube mehr oder weniger weit gegen die Zunge gepreßt werden, ermöglichen jedoch nur eine Feineinstellung in einem sehr begrenzten Bereich. Diese Vorrichtungen sind aber auch nur für Relais mit nebeneinanderliegenden Ankerzungen bzw. Kontaktfedern, nicht aber für Relais mit dicht übereinanderliegenden Kontakten anwendbar. Die bei Kontaktfedern häufig erwünschte Änderung der Federcharakteristik über einen größeren Bereich wäre nur durch Lösen der gesamten Einspannung und Längsverschiebung der Federn möglich.
