KLASSE 64: Schankgeräthe.CLASS 64: dispensing equipment.
Fatentirt im Deutschen Reiche vom 15. Dezember 1897 ab.Fatentirt in the German Empire from December 15, 1897.
The bottle of the present invention is designed so that it is impossible to post to fill again after emptying.
The accompanying drawing illustrates this bottle through a vertical section.
The bottle is made entirely of glass and consists of the body A and the neck B, both of which are fused together at C. This fusing can take place after the bottle has already been filled with the liquid in question, or before filling, in which case the body A is provided with a small filler neck D. Socket D is melted shut after the filling has taken place through it.
In the neck B the small glass bells E and F are arranged, each of which is provided with a number of perforations. Inside these bells two ball valves ee 1 and ff 1 are arranged; on the other hand form the hollow valves ef, the valves e 1/1 full glass beads. Thin spiral tubes E 1 F 1 are attached to the lower open end of the bells. The tube E 1 is fused with its lower end to an opening of a partition G , which separates the body A from the neck B of the bottle. The tube F 1 , which is to expand in a spiral shape downwards, on the other hand, extends freely into the bottle body A after its bell F has penetrated the partition G. The four glass spheres ee x ff l have a slightly larger diameter than the tubes E 1 F 1 . The upper mouth of the bottle neck is closed by an ordinary stopper H made of cork or other material.
The mode of operation is as follows: If the bottle is turned over after removing the plug H , the ball valves ee l ff l leave their seats and the liquid can flow out through the spiral tube E 1 , the through-holes in the bell E and the open bottle neck B , because at the same time outside air through BF and the tube F 1 , which is narrower than E \ in the bottle A is able to enter. On the other hand, it is impossible to refill the bottle; you can hold and turn it as you wish. When the bottle is in an upright position, the ball valves close the inlet and outlet openings for the liquid and the air. If you turn the bottle upside down and immerse it completely (with the neck down) in the liquid, it cannot fill because the air from A cannot escape. Even if one were to heat the bottle A beforehand in order to allow the liquid to be sucked in, no filling could be achieved by immersing the bottle upside down, because the hollow and therefore lighter ball valves ef would be pressed against their seats in a floating manner. If the bottle is completely immersed in the liquid in a lying position, the escape of air and thus also the filling is prevented again. If the bottle was held in this position, prior heating would in turn result in the immediate closing of the light float valves. But if the bottle is immersed in a lying position only so far that the airway FF 1 remains free, the inclines of the spiral tube E 1 prevent the entry of the liquid. If the bottle is heated beforehand and lying down and half immersed,
so versperrt wieder das von der angesaugten Flüssigkeit ' vorangetriebene Schwimmventilchen e den Zuflufs. so the floating valve e, which is driven by the sucked-in liquid, blocks the inflow again.
