Die in den Figuren allgemein mit 1 bezeichnete Dichtungsmatte besteht aus einer Trägerbahn 2 und einer oberen Abschlußbahn 3 sowie einer zwischen diesen Bahnen angeordneten, wasserabhaltenden bzw. wasserundurchlässigen Schicht 4. Die Schicht 4 enthält im wesentlichen Ton, wobei beispielsweise zumindest ein gewisser Anteil des Tons Smektit-Ton ist, sowie eine Flüssigkeit, die zumindest zum Teil Wasser ist. Weiterhin enthält die Schicht 4 auch ein Bindemittel, beispielsweise in Form von Zellulose. Der Flüssigkeitsanteil der Schicht 4 ist so gewählt, daß diese plastisch verformbar ist. Die äußeren Bahnen 2 und 3 sind durch die Schicht 4 hindurch locker vernäht, wie dies mit den Fäden 5 angedeutet ist, und zwar ohne Reduzierung der Dicke der Schicht 4 im Bereich dieser Vernähung. Die Bahnen 2 und 3 bestehen aus einem geeigneten Flachmaterial, beispielsweise aus Gewebe oder aus einem gewebeverstärkten Folien- oder Vliesmaterial (z. B. Auf die von einer Rolle 6 abgezogene Bahn 2 wird mittels einer geeigneten Streueinrichtung 3 der die spätere Schicht 4 bildende Ton gegebenenfalls in Mischung mit weiteren Bestandteilen im wesentlichen im trockenen Zustand als Streuschicht 4' aufgebracht. Im Anschluß daran wird an einer Laminier-Station 8 auf die Streuschicht 4' die ebenfalls von einer Rolle 9 abgezogene Bahn 3 aufgelegt und die beiden Schichten 2 und 3 durch die Streuschicht 4 hindurch in der Näheinrichtung 10 lose miteinander vernäht. Das so hergestellte Mehrschicht-Material 1' wird dann in einer Station 11 einer Flüssigkeitsbehandlung unterzogen. Die Station 11 besteht im einfachsten Fall aus wenigstens einer, sich quer zur Bahn 1' erstreckenden Düsenanordnung 12, mit der die Flüssigkeit, nämlich beispielsweise Wasser oder Wasser mit weiteren Zusätzen auf die Bahn 1' dosiert aufgebracht wird, daß die im wesentlichen trockene Streuschicht 4' in die plastische Schicht 4 umgeformt wird. Anschließendes Walzen in der die Walzzylinder 13 aufweisenden Station 14 wird schließlich für die Schicht 4 die vorgegebene Dicke eingestellt. Fig. 2 shows the preparation of the sealing material 1. Claims (4)

1. Verfahren zum Herstellen eines Dichtungsmaterials bestehend wenigstens aus einer unteren und einer oberen Trägerschicht oder Bahn (2, 3) und aus einer zwischen diesen Trägerschichten vorgesehenen Schicht (4) aus einer plastischen Masse, die Ton und Flüssigkeit enthält, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Tonmaterial in einem wesentlichen trockenen Zustand auf eine Bahn (2) als trockene Schicht (4') aufgebracht und anschließend die zweite Bahn (3) auf diese Schicht aufgelegt wird und daß die von den beiden Bahnen und der dazwischenliegenden Schicht bestehende Schichtanordnung (1') in wenigstens einer Behandlungsstation (11) mit der Flüssigkeit derart behandelt wird, daß aus der aufgebrachten Schicht (4') die plastische, das Tonmaterial und die Flüssigkeit enthaltende Schicht (4) erhalten wird.1.
