Another advantageous limitation of the opening movement results from a band ( 15 ) which is attached on the one hand to the arm stick part ( 2 ) of the crutch ( 1 ) and on the other hand to the support ( 6 ). When the support ( 6 ) is not used, the band ( 15 ) hangs down as a loop. When the support ( 6 ) is raised, the band ( 15 ) is automatically tightened and approximately in a horizontal position. The support ( 6 ) can also be effectively held in its extended position by a pawl ( 19 ). The pawl ( 19 ) is on the. The direction of the axis of the bearing ( 10 ) is selected so that the support ( 6 ) on display forms a tripod together with the crutches ( 1 ).
