Charakteristik des bekannten Standes der TechnikCharacteristic of the known state of the art
Pigment Red 57 is a very old oil-based pigment. The sodium salt of the underlying colored acid has already been described in DT-PS 151205 from the year 1903. The lacquers were produced by the user in the first years. Due to wide-ranging application, the pigment manufacturers also offered lacquers, of which the calcium lacquer listed in the Color Index under number 57: 1 is the most widely used today. The reason for this is primarily the use in three-color printing.
For the preparation of the Ca-lacquer, a multi-stage process was initially used, as described in BIOS 1661, p. In this method, the pigment is relatively weak and opaque. It is not suitable for today's main application (three-color printing). Improved variants of this multi-stage process have been described in DT-OS 2001505 and in GB-PS 1313147.
ä. in DT-AS 1298660. In addition to the multistage process, however, a procedure has already been described in these patents, in which the dye formation takes place simultaneously with the coupling in the presence of insoluble calcium resinate. According to this process, pigments with improved color strength are obtained. A further improvement in the coloristic properties is also possible by aftertreatment of the pigments with special auxiliaries. For this purpose, have already been proposed: Oxethylierte propylenediamine derivatives in DT-AS Ί 469782, Dialkylsulfosucclnate in DT-AS 1792082 and the use of 2-hydroxy-3-naphthoesäureabiethylamid u. in DT-AS 1298660. A substantially simplified synthesis method has been proposed in US Pat. No. 2,478,768. Thereafter, the alkaline solution of 2-hydroxy-3-naphthoic acid, 4-aminotoluene-3-sulfonic acid and sodium nitrite is added to charged Ca acid precipitated acid. The alkali content is adjusted so that the pH is between 6 and 7.2 at the end. Even after this process, pigments of high color should be obtained. However, the method suffers more than the above-described lack of reproducibility. The production of high-quality ruby pigments of the type C.I. Pigment Red 57: 1 for the three-color printing is still not unproblematic today. Above all, the reproducibility of the process leaves something to be desired, so that the reaction conditions must be met very accurately. Nevertheless, the ruby pigments have to be collected according to the shade loss of the lots, so that a larger number of different types are offered by individual manufacturers. These differ mainly in color and transparency. In particular, it is difficult to reproducibly produce the bluish-tinted very transparent pigments desired for the three-color printing. It has therefore been proposed to influence the hue by addition of diazotized 2-naphthtylamine-1-sulfonic acid to 4-amino-toluen-3-sulfonic acid in the desired manner (SU-PS 276907, SU-PS 659593). In a similar manner, this was also attempted in the case of the coupling component (compare, for example, the already mentioned GB-PS 1313147). These blows do not solve the problem of reproducible production of ruby pigments. The chemically nuanced ruby pigments are produced in their production despite the most accurate work in a relatively large Toloranzbereich, which makes the installation of different types required. However, this is a significant disadvantage, especially for covering a relatively small need.

The object of the invention is a process for the production of bluish transparent and strongly colored C.I. Darlegung des Wesens der ErfindungExplanation of the essence of the invention
The result of the pigment formation should be such that pigments of bluish tint and desired transparency are reproducibly obtained. The task of always producing the same result in a batch process from a multicomponent mixture in which at least two reactions take place has been achieved according to the invention by reacting the acidic suspension of the diazonium compound with the compound to be coupled before the coupling and pigment formation reaction
