Charakteristik des bekannten Standes der TechnikCharacteristic of the known state of the art
Ionenaustauscher auf Cellulosebasis sind bekannt.Cellulose-based ion exchangers are known.
In DE-OS 2908185 a cation exchanger based on cellulose is described. To produce the ion exchanger, the cellulose is reacted with iminodiacetic acid or imonodipropionic acid. In DE-OS 313017fl a process for the preparation of agglomerated fibrous ion exchangers is described. Cellulose composites are made by agglomeration of a hydrophobic polymer with fibrous cellulose, in US Pat. No. 3,823,133 cellulose is derivatized with diethylaminoethylchloride to obtain an anion exchanger.
The main disadvantages of the processes are that either only cation or only anion exchangers can be produced in the various reaction variants. There are produced kdino amphoteric ion exchanger and no support materials that have both ion exchange properties as well as the ability to covalently bond certain classes of compounds.
Die Cellulose erhält dadurch keint lonenaustauschereigenschaften.DD-PS 148955 describes the activation of paper with cyanuric chloride. The cellulose thus does not receive ion exchange properties.
There is currently a DEAE paper on the market (DEAE Celuloso Paper, manufacturer Whatman [England] Whatman, Laboratory Citaloque 1980, Paper Products, Publication 800 PPC, Whatman, Advanced Ion Exchange Celluloses, Product Guide Bulletin No 202). This paper has too little mechanical stability and can be used only conditionally for biochemical investigations.

The invention has for its object to produce by chemical reaction of cellulose ion exchanger.
The object is achieved by a process for the preparation of ion exchangers based on bound and unbound cellulose particles.
Das Verfahren ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Cellulosepartikel mit einer Verbindung der allgemeinen Formel IThe method is characterized in that the cellulose particles with a compound of general formula I.
B. Chlor, Brom, Cyanid, Diazonium, Isothiocyanat umgesetzt wird.wherein A, B and C are the same or different hydrolyzable groups, such as. As chlorine, bromine, cyanide, diazonium, isothiocyanate is reacted.
Subsequently, the cellulose particles activated in this way are reacted with anionic, cationic or amphoteric or neutral compounds capable of nucleophilic substitution.
After reaction of the cellulose with a compound of the general formula I, the anionic, cationic or amphoteric or neutral compounds which are capable of nucleophilic substitution, if appropriate, are added in the subsequent reaction step in excess.
In a second variant of the process according to the invention, the compound of the general formula I is reacted with an anionic, cationic or amphoteric or neutral compound capable of nucleophilic substitution, and the product obtained is reacted with CeUulosepartikel.
Finally, in a third variant, the compound of the general formula I is partially reacted with an anionic, cationic or amphoteric or neutral compound capable of nucleophilic substitution, then the reaction product is reacted with cellulose article and then, in a further treatment, the cellulose which is now still carrying hydrolyzable groups reacted with a capable of nucleophilic substitution anionic, cationic, amphoteric or neutral compound. In the latter reaction, another cationic, anionic, amphoteric or neutral compound is reacted. As a result, ion exchangers with in each case different cationic, anionic or amphoteric or else with cationic and anionic anionic and amphoteric, etc. groups are obtained. The Armenian compounds capable of nucleophilic substitution are amino-substituted or hydroxyl-substituted, anionic group-bearing compounds, such as e.g. As amino acids, hydroxy acids, appropriately substituted compounds of the acids of phosphorus and sulfur. As cationic compounds capable of nucleophilic substitution, tertiary or quaternary compounds substituted by amino or hydroxyl groups are alkyl haloido, preferably methyl iodide, and amphoteric compounds capable of nucleophilic substitution are amino acids having substituted tertiary or poly-, phospho- or thio-substituted amino acids used quaternary amines.
As unbound cellulose particles, spherical cellulose is used, and as bonded cellulose particles, composites, cloths, nonwovens, paper and the like are used.
Die Erfindung wird im folgenden näher orläutert:The invention will be explained in more detail below:
In the main variant of the process, the cellulose particles are first watered and then treated with caustic (NaOH).
After intermediate drying on filter paper brings the cellulose particles in the organic medium z. B. with halides of the compound of general formula I for the reaction. Thereafter, the cellulose particles are washed with organic solvents, changed to an aqueous solvent system, and amino acids, e.g. B. glycine react with the preactivated cellulose. After washing out the excess glycine, a cation exchanger (carboxy group) is obtained.
By reaction of the pre-activated cell jelly particles with NH 2 -substituted tertiary or quaternary amines, an anion exchanger (eg DEAE groups) is obtained. Daboi, the second reaction step can be carried out either in aqueous or organic medium, depending on the choice of the compound capable of nucleophilic substitution.
An advantage of the method according to the invention is that both anion exchangers and cation exchangers and amphoteric ion exchangers can be produced.
By adding the reacting with the activated cellulose compound in deficit can produce according to the invention support materials having both ion exchange properties as avh the ability to covalently bind certain classes of compounds (nucleic acids, proteins), which are particularly interesting for transfer techniques of modern molecular biology.
According to the method, surface ion exchangers (especially ion exchange papers) can be produced with high mechanical stability. The process is also suitable for the production of ion exchangers based on spherical cellulose particles.
Ein weiterer Vorteil des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens besteht darin, daß die Ausgangsverbindung I (A, B, C = Chlor, Cyanursäurechlorid) billig herstellbar und gut zugänglich ist. Die anderen Ausgangsverbindungen I (A, 8,C = Brom, Cyanid, Diazonium, Isothiocyanat) lassen sich aus Cyanursäurechlorid durch einfache Umsetzung gewinnen.Another advantage of the process according to the invention is that the starting compound I (A, B, C = chlorine, cyanuric chloride) is inexpensive to produce and readily accessible. The other starting compounds I (A, 8, C = bromine, cyanide, diazonium, isothiocyanate) can be obtained from cyanuric chloride by simple reaction.
