Description
The invention is useful in the water industry and in all sectors involved in the production or production, distribution and use of substances which can be harmful to the environment as pollutants, such as e.g. Petrochemicals, other chemical industries, tank farms, petrol stations and agrochemical facilities.
Oder Verfahren, die außerdem spezielle technische Vorrichtungen verlangen, mit denen der kontaminierte Boden behandelt wird (Prospekt der Cell GmbH 1988).Methods are known which are based on the application of specially adapted microorganism populations in special culture media and also require a special technique for the application (Biodetox foam method, petroleum natural gas coal, Hamburg / Vienna 12/86) (WO 85 / 0210S, WO 85 / 02197) Processes intended to stimulate a naturally occurring bacterium (Technical Community 11/88, p. 14). Or procedures that also require special technical devices with which the contaminated soil is treated (prospectus of Cell GmbH 1988).
The disadvantage of such methods is that for the unpredictable sporadic accidents occurring to hold a variety of special microorganisms and preparations with great effort in reserve and bring in the event of an accident to the site of the accident. There is always the danger of degeneration of the populations. The special technology can only be brought to the place of the accident with great effort.
Individual species or the artificial medium in their number of species, restricted populations, are less suitable for the gradual degradation of the pollutants and the conversion into innocuous gaseous substances or natural soil constituents. A process is known in which soil contaminants are combated biotechnically by composting the contaminated soil with fertilizers and auxiliaries. This method is particularly unsuitable for deep contamination or in inaccessible places, because the excavation of the soil at these sites is too expensive or not possible.
The object of the invention is to develop a method by means of which the pollutants are removed from contaminated soils and from contaminated groundwater ladders without extensive earthmoving by decomposition and / or dissolution.
The object of the invention is to develop a method by which deep contaminant contaminants of the soil and groundwater from disasters or contaminated sites are biotechnically fought on site. The process is intended to reduce the time required for pollutant removal and the release of pollutants from soil and groundwater to a fraction of that of the natural process. At the end of the process, the soil should once again be suitable as a healthy plant location and should prevent groundwater contamination or should be remedied already existing.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the extraction of pollutants from soil and aquifers are promoted by the addition of water, hydrogen acceptors, fertilizers and chemical auxiliaries of the microbiological degradation and by the water and chemical auxiliaries.
The hydrogen acceptor used is preferably the salts of nitric acid (nitrates) which simultaneously act as N fertilizer. As chemical auxiliaries are substances that facilitate access to the pollutant in a known manner to the soil population.
According to the invention, the contaminated soil or the contaminated groundwater is uniformly supplied with water, auxiliaries and fertilizers as well as the hydrogen acceptor over the entire contaminated layer.
Under suitable terrain and technical conditions, the upper contaminated layer is dumped and composted to promote pollutant degradation in a known manner. The resulting sink is dammed up with water mixed with auxiliaries, hydrogen and fertilizers or with suitable wastewater, which simultaneously promotes the extraction and leaching processes and counteracts adverse effects via wells or protective galleries.
The water with excipients, hydrogen acceptor and fertilizers or the wastewater used can also be introduced in a known manner via irrigation facilities and devices for the treatment of deeper soil layers or aquifers. The addition of the fertilizer, the hydrogen acceptor and the water or the addition of the waste water has the aim to produce in the soil an optimal nutrient solution for bacteria, in which in particular the emulsified pollutant and the excipient itself serve as carbon source. As adjuvants in known orphan substances, which cause Krenzresistenz with the pollutants to choose. Suitable waste waters are those which contain as many as possible of the substances to be supplied, i. Nitrates, surfactants and phosphorus and potassium, with as gerif.yen content of organic matter and degradation-resistant pollutants included.
The addition of the hydrogen acceptor and fertilizers is divided into multiple administrations as needed to avoid inhibition of the bacteria by the substrate. Overall, at least the stoichiometrically required effort to use.
When nitrates are used, an excess makes up for N fertilization. According to the invention, after production of the optimal conditions, if relatively sterile conditions are present, inoculated cultures of adapted bacteria in aqueous solution.
These cultures are prepared by storing a bottom slurry in a solution of the respective pollutant with the excipients, fertilizers and the hydrogen acceptor until mass propagation. Then it is applied with the excipients, fertilizers and the hydrogen acceptor.
Combining the mining and leaching processes, the removal of pollutants from soil and groundwater can be achieved in just 1 to 2 years, compared to 50 to 70 years with unaffected flow. Protection galleries for the production of drinking water no longer apply or can be taken out of service again.
Die Erfindung wird nachstehend an 4 Beispielen erläutert. The invention is explained below with 4 examples.
Die Feldkapazität des anstehenden Bodens ist 10VoI.-%.A tanker with 5m 3 of a crop protection solution for field use with 300g / m 3 dithiophosphoric acid O, 0-dimethyl-N-methylamino-carboxymethyl ester (dimethoate, C 5 H 12 NO 3 PS 2 ) runs out as a result of an accident. The content spreads over an area of 50m 2 and penetrates under dilution with the soil water 4m deep and reaches the aquifer. The field capacity of the upcoming soil is 10VoI .-%.
For remediation, 20m 3 of an aqueous solution of 170g / l NaNO 3 , 0.1 g / l of the triethanolammonium salt of the phosphoric acid mono / diester mixture of a synthetic fatty alcohol and phosphorus and potassium fertilizer with 0.2 g / l of P and are rising from the aquifer upwards and upwards 0.7 g / l K, which had been adjusted to pH 8.5 with calcium hydroxide and added to a microorganism population adapted to the environment, was distributed uniformly in a known manner by injection to the contaminated soil body. The degradation of the pollutant proceeds under these conditions in about 14 days to harmless concentration.
A soil surface, including the aquifer, is contaminated with a contaminated site of petroleum products. In Grundwasserströmungsrichturig behind the contaminated floor lens, a well gallery for the protection of the endangered Grundwasserleitor creating waterworks installed. This well gallery must be operated over 70 years to complete natural degradation of pollutants.
Der Schadstoffgehalt beträgt im Mittel 101/m3, bestehend aus vorwiegend aliphatischen Verbindungen ,nit der mittleren Kettenlänge C8...The depth to the aquifer is 3,40m. The contaminated soil hat a mean field capacity of 10 vol .-%. The pollutant content is on average 101 / m 3 , consisting mainly of aliphatic compounds, nit the average chain length C 8 ...
For remediation, the upper 40cm of the soil are lifted and composted to promote pollutant degradation in a known manner.
The resulting sink is treated with an aqueous solution of 7 g / l sodium nitrate, 0.1 g / l of the ammonium salt of a sulfonated castor oil and phosphorus and potassium fertilizers in the amount of u, 2g / l P and 0.7 g / l, respectively, based on the pure nutrients K overstored. Depending on the overflow process 30OI / m 2 will be discharged. After adding this amount of water, the soil remains unirrigated until the peak of microbial activity is exceeded. Thereafter, this process is repeated until the pollutant in soil and aquifer is reduced to a harmless value. For the amount of 30 kg / m 2 of the petroleum product about 3OmVm 2 solution or 100 Überstauvorgänge are required.
Conditions as in Example 2. Biologically treated effluent with a nitrate content of 200 mg / l and free of persistent pollutants is available nearby. This wastewater is passed on to the contaminated site without any further additives. The amount is determined by the performance of the gallery. Due to the constant water flow, the entrained surfactants, the desorption, separation and leaching in this case dominates. The nitrate and plant nutrient content simultaneously ensures a reduction. Before the rinsing process is completed, it is converted to clear water, which is taken from the well gallery.
