Abstract
The invention relates to a paint on the basis of particle dispersions of vinyl acetate copolymers with dibutyl maleate or butyl acrylate, which has the same good or similar properties in terms of long-term stability and resistance, as those based on the more cost-effective polyacrylate or VAC ethene-vinyl chloride terpolymer dispersions produced paints. The essence of the invention is that the polymer particles are inhomogeneous in that the vinyl acetate content in the shell is 30 to 100% lower than in the core.

Die Herstellung der modifizierten Polyvinylesterdispersionen erfolgt unter folgenden Bedingungen:The preparation of the modified Polyvinylesterdispersionen takes place under the following conditions:
A reactor equipped with a stirrer, reflux condenser and a jacket for heating is charged with an aqueous solution containing the emulsifier and buffer salts, previously adjusted to the pH optimum for emulsion polymerization by means of soda or formic acid. After dom Aufhelzon the aqueous Phnso to a temperature of 70 0 C, the Polymorisation by the beginning of the monomer feed and the addition of 50% of the total amount of initiator is started.
Parallel to the monomer feed, the continuous addition of the restl'chon initiator solution takes place. After the end of the feed, at an internal temperature of 78 ° C, the mixture is allowed to nachpolymorisioren for another hour.
