Abstract
The invention relates to a method for glazing and sealing thermally sprayed surface layers, for example. Such from plasma-sprayed rock flour. Taskgemaess pores and permeable areas in such layers while maintaining their advantageous thermal, separation and wear properties are sealed and leveled. According to the invention, this is done by applying a suspension of inorganic, glassy melting substance mixtures and local Erwärmung the same.
Description
It is generally known to prepare thermally sprayed wear protection layers from a porous layer and a further layer "diffused" in the melt (DD 119151), which obviously serves to improve the mechanical workability, and does not in itself provide sufficient surface quality This publication can also no reference to appropriate materials to be taken.
Furthermore, a large number of enamels for finishing metallic surfaces (eg DE 3417387, DE 3525972) or glazes for ceramic surfaces (eg DE 3041327, DE 3103438) are known. These alone can never achieve the excellent properties or property combinations expected of thermally sprayed surface layers.
The aim of the invention is to improve the surface quality of thermally sprayed surface layers.
The invention is based on the object, pores and permeable areas in a thermally sprayed surface layer while maintaining the advantageous thermal. To close and level the separation and wear properties of the same.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by applying a suspension of inorganic, glassy melting substance mixtures and local heating of the same to temperatures at which the resulting melt is relatively thin liquid.
On the inner surfaces of cooking vessels, which were coated by thermal plasma spraying with basalt flour, depending on the required temperature resistance, which must be achieved of course from the plasma-sprayed layer with certainty, suspensions of the following composition applied and heated locally by means of laser or electron beam. They are so thin that they fill the said pores or bumps and at the same time under the action of the surface tension, like all glasses, readily form a particularly smooth surface, without losing the beneficial properties of the plasma-sprayed "matrix".
