The invention relates to a method for decorating enamel or glaze layers. The aim of the method is u. a. the saving of a burning process. The object of the invention is the development of a method for solidifying the enamel or glaze layer. According to the invention, the object is achieved by subjecting the surface to be decorated to a freezing process before decorating and then decorating by transfer printing, direct printing or special decorating processes in a manner known per se.
Description
The invention relates to a method for the decoration of enamel or glaze layers.
Eine zusammenfassende Darstellung der bekannten Verfahren ist in A. Petzold, H. Pöschmann „Email und Emailliertechnik", VEB Deutscher Verlag für Grundstoffindustrie, Leipzig, 1Э86, gegeben. It is known, enamelled or glazed items such. As crockery made of metal or ceramic, home and kitchen appliances, tiles, etc., to provide a decor. The decorative methods used are very diverse, the transfer printing process (decals) or the direct printing process (screen printing) being used most frequently. As a special decorating procedures apply stencil spraying, stamping, brush painting, Streifendekore, shading, etc. A summary of the known methods in A. Petzold, H. Pöschmann "Enamel and enamelling", VEB German publishing house for basic industry, Leipzig, 1Э86, given.
In the practical application of these methods, however, results in most cases, the disadvantage that one must assume a baked enamel or glaze surface, which requires high costs or an additional penetration. In addition, a decoration of enamelled aluminum objects due to this additional Dekorbrandes was performed only in a few cases. Aluminum as the base material and the aluminum enamels react to the necessary decorative firing with severe quality losses, in particular discarding of the aluminum parts and cracking in the enamel. To a limited extent, there are also decorating, in which one decorated on the unfired, only dried biscuit (AHDietzel "enamelling", Springer-Verlag, 1981, p 183) .The insufficient strength of the substrate, the low quality and the strong However, limited decor options have prevented widespread use of these methods and, above all, their automation.
The object of the invention is to eliminate the economic and qualitative disadvantages inherent in said processes, in particular the additional decorative firing being dispensed with by decorating the unfired enamel or glaze layer while at the same time maintaining high quality decoration. It is also the object of the invention, especially in the decoration of aluminum articles to improve the quality output.
The object of the invention is the development of a method for solidifying the unburned enamel or glaze layer to ensure a subsequent quality-appropriate decoration, whereby a common penetration of the unfired biscuit can be done with the applied decor.
According to the invention the object is achieved in that the surface to be decorated is subjected to a freezing process after the wet coating and thus cured. Subsequently, the decoration can be done in a conventional manner by transfer printing, direct printing or by special decorating. After that, joint firing is possible. The range of the cooling temperatures preferably ranges between 0 and -180 ° C. and is in each case dependent on the decorating and enameling method According to a further feature of the invention, it is also possible to produce raised structures by mechanical and / or thermal processing of the frozen biscuit ,
A pot is coated on a coater with Deckemailschlicker, then passes through a cooling zone (cooled nitrogen atmosphere) and is cooled below freezing to about -10 0 C, whereby the enamel biscuit is hardened. This cooled pot is then placed on a rotating device and provided with a streak decor by hand painting using an oil suspension as a medium. Before joint firing of enamel and stripe decor, the pot is dried.
A coated with enamel aluminum pan passes through a cooling zone (-cooled nitrogen atmosphere), and is cooled to below freezing to about -10 0 C. On the thus hardened biscuit is then the decoration with a screen printing machine. After reheating, the article is immediately transferred to the oven chain, thereby achieving the premise of aluminum enamelling to ensure that the aluminum enamel enters the furnace atmosphere in a moist manner.
