Abstract
The invention relates to skin and hair care products, as they are common in cosmetics and pharmacy as anti-dandruff. The hitherto most effective active ingredients, the selenium disulphide and the salts and derivatives of pyrithione, require due to their properties special measures in the construction, manufacture and packaging of anti-dandruff agents. These, as well as other suggested remedies, lead to stimulation of the sebaceous glands in multiple use, resulting in a strong and fast greasy hair. The object of the invention was to use active substances which do not require such measures and which do not additionally stimulate sebum secretion secretion when the agents are used. The object was achieved by incorporating 2-mercaptoquinoxalines, which may contain an adjacent hydroxyl or amino group, into the chosen bases and application forms in concentrations of 0.01 to 2.00% as active ingredients.
Description
It is the object of the invention to develop cosmetic and pharmaceutical skin and hair care products with an active ingredient which does not have said galenic deficiencies, is economically accessible, has a good anti-dandruff effect and does not cause additional scalp fat.
The object was to develop cosmetic and pharmaceutical skin and hair care products with an active ingredient which has sufficient solubility in the galenic bases, is stable against atmospheric oxygen and light, has a normalizing influence on the increased cell formation and disturbed keratinization Sebaceous gland activity is not additionally stimulated, but normalized.
The object is achieved in that in the cosmetic and pharmaceutical skin and hair care products at least one compound of general formula (1)
SHSH
eingearbeitet wurde, in der R für Wasserstoff, oder eine Hydroxy- oder Aminogruppe stehen kann.has been incorporated, in which R may be hydrogen, or a hydroxy or amino group.
The compounds of formula (1) are already known. Their production and properties are u. a. in DE-PS 1117 586 and Chem. Pharm. Bull. (Tokyo) 9 (1961), 941-944. Since they have a certain insecticidal and acaricidal activity, they are mainly used as pesticides. But they should also be suitable for the treatment of fungal skin diseases or collagenoses. However, a regulatory effect on increased cell neoformation and disturbed keratinization was unpredictable and completely surprising from this application.
For the inventive use of these compounds, the most diverse skin and hair care products come into consideration. Particularly advantageous is the use in shampoos, since at the same time the loose flakes are washed off during cleaning and so are accompanied by cleaning and dandruff treatment. Since these compounds dissolve sufficiently well in the cosmetic and pharmaceutical bases, these shampoos need no special requirements in terms of composition and consistency. Therefore, it is also possible to use the customary surfactants, emulsifiers, solubilizers, refatting agents, consistency regulators, pearlescing agents, pigments, other auxiliaries and active substances, as well as perfume oils, dyes, etc. This also applies to other forms of application, such as lotions, creams, gels, aerosols, aqueous-alcoholic solutions, etc. The required in the skin and hair care agents drug concentrations are fundamentally dependent on the nature of the application of these agents. For those who spend a long time on the scalp, such. As hair lotions, tonic, tinctures, hair fixatives, can already meet a concentration between 0.01 and 0.5%. Agents that remain on the skin only for a short time, such as shampoos, hair conditioners, but also concentrates, may have a higher concentration. It should suitably be between 0.5 and 1.0%, but it can also be significantly higher. The concentration of active ingredients required in each case results ultimately from the type of cosmetic or pharmaceutical agent, its application and the desired effect, taking into account the possible influence between the active ingredient and the basis. Even at higher concentrations, the proposed active ingredients are excellent mucous membrane compatible. Thus, according to the method of NEUMANN and AALBERS in the conjunctival test on the rabbit eye irritation indices between 7 and 8 were found for the 1% solutions. In this test, the observed irritations are related to those of a 2% aqueous solution of sodium dodecylsulfate, which have an irritation index of 10. The sodium dodecyl sulfate is known as an extremely mucous compatible surfactant. In the pH range from 4 to 8, which is suitable for Externa, the active substances are resistant to hydrolysis and light and do not react with atmospheric oxygen. When using these active ingredients according to the invention, therefore, no additional requirements have to be placed on the technology or the packaging in the production and packaging of the skin and hair care products. The excellent effectiveness of the skin and hair care products according to the invention could be convincingly demonstrated in the application test on 28 test persons. Of these subjects, about 45% had a strong dandruff infestation and about 55% had a less severe one. In 12 people, the scalp was mostly dry, in the other 16 people very greasy. The selected care product corresponded to a hair tonic and was as simple as possible to eliminate other influences. It contained: isopropanol 40 g, 2-hydroxy-3-mercapto-quinoxaline 0.08 g, perfume 0.08 g and water 58.8 g. The hair tonic was used by the test persons daily or every other day over a period of 4 weeks, depending on dandruff. This was followed by a final assessment, taking into account the use of the subjects. Conspicuous were the excellent anti-dandruff action even in very persistent cases, the simultaneous decay of the increased sebaceous gland activity and the good tolerability of the test preparation. A negative influence on the manageability or the appearance of the hair was not indicated by any test person.
