!Reinigungsverfahren für geschliffene und polierte Glas- und MetallerzeugnisseCleaning process for ground and polished glass and metal products
The invention relates to an Eeinigungsverfahren for ground and polished glass and metal products for the removal of grinding and polishing residues, in particular of lead crystal and Metalleraeugnissen. The removal is carried out by application of ultrasound with the simultaneous action of alkylolamines and Athy1enoxidaddukten. Bas process is used in glass and metal processing.
During the processing of glass, residues in the form of finely divided abrasives and glass dust remain on the glass after grinding and polishing processes. For subsequent processes, these residues must be removed. In particular, this relates to the removal of Bückständen on Kristallglasgefäiben, z. As lead crystal articles, which are then etched. In the currently technically common .. procedure, the removal of the residues is carried out by manual processing, ie with brushes using detergent, which requires a lot of time, especially if the cleaning due to the operational process only a long time after completion of the sole ifvorganges is performed , The cleaning process is often incomplete.

It is also known that the sonication of illumination glass is performed with ultrasound in water. However, the detergents based on anionic surfactants used in this case lead to very large foaming, which results in a strong absorption of air by the water; this leads to a reduction of the sound energy transmission and thus to a considerable reduction of the eeinigungseffektes.
Der gebildete Grauschleier erfordert einen zusätzlichen Reinigungsprozeß·-Furthermore, anionic surfactants form insoluble Brdalkali- and Schwermet allsalze, the. then deposit as a gray haze on the glasses to be cleaned and hinder the subsequent etching process. The formed gray haze requires an additional cleaning process ·
It is also known that ultrasonic dishwashing machines are used for cleaning polished and polished glass and metal products. "The disadvantage of these machines is that the sound energy due to large air spaces is too low, since complete coverage of the items to be cleaned is not guaranteed."
When grinding and foiling metals, metal and abrasive residues remain on the metal. Their adhesion is reinforced by oils and greases, grinding and polishing emulsions. The currently customary cleaning process with anionic surfactants and with (DB-OS 2 β29 829) and without ultrasound is unsatisfactory. Foaming and the deposition of insoluble brdalkali and heavy metal salts reduce the cleaning effect. Furthermore, von Hachteil, that the aqueous solutions of Äniontensiaen while applying mechanical forces on metal parts promote corrosion, whereby an additional corrosion protection 'is required.

When cleaning. Glass objects under these conditions by reaction of the anionic surfactants with heavy metal and alkaline earth metal ions on the glass surface the. Strength of the glass reduced.
The object of the invention is a cleaning method for ground and polished glass and metal products for removing grinding and polishing residues, which completely cleans in a short time without the action of mechanical energy and protects metals and glass from corrosion and destruction.
The invention has for its object to find an effective cleaning method for removing grinding and polishing residues.
According to the invention, the objects to be cleaned are subjected to an ultrasound treatment of 1 to 900 seconds in the presence of a 0.01- to 5% aqueous solution of one or more alkylolamines and one or more ethylene oxide adducts which have a Ma ratio of 1: 0.1 to 1: 10 are included, suspended,
It was surprisingly found that the use ύοώ. Solutions consisting of alkylalamines and ethylene oxide adducts, when used ultrasonically, lead to complete cleaning of the ground and polished glass or metal products, avoiding the occurrence of gray-scale smearing on glass products or corrosion of metal products and destruction of the glass surface.

Als Athylenoxidaddukte ist der Einsatz folgender Produkte möglich:The alkylolamine used may be the known compounds mono-, di- and / or diethanolamine and the corresponding compounds of isopropanolamine In the removal of abrasives and polishing agents from metals, the use of 3-Di- and / or triethanolamine is advantageous because of the enhanced anticorrosion effect As ethylene oxide adducts the use of the following products is possible:
Alkylpolyglykoläther, Alkylphenolpolyglykoläther, Äcylpolyglykoläther and the Ädditionsverbindungen of ethylene oxide to alkylamines. Ethylene oxide adducts of alkyl alcohols of the chain length C. Q - C. o and 8 to 15 molecules of ethylene oxide are particularly advantageous in the sense of the invention. The products alkylolamine and Ethyleneoxidaddukt can be added as a concentrate together or individually in the water and distributed homogeneously.
For complete foam suppression further foam suppressants, such as silicone products, can be added.
Ultrasound baths or ultrasonic troughs are suitable as ultrasound apparatus. The apparatus must be sufficiently filled with the aqueous solution so that the objects to be cleaned are completely covered. The bath liquid can be moved for better removal of the dirt by stirrers or by pumping.
The use of the cleaning combination of alkylolamine / ethylene oxide adduct / ultrasound ensures that the transmission of the sound energy to the surface to be cleaned by the liquid medium and is not weakened by air or other gas cushion.
The application of ultrasound is advantageously carried out in the frequency range 10 - 50 kHz. It is also advantageous, but not necessary, to use sound generation with piezoelectric sounders.

The sounders can be arranged stationary or as leek vibrator. The duration of the ultrasound treatment depends on the degree of soiling and on the age of the, pollution. If the treatment is carried out immediately after grinding and / or polishing, a sonication of 1 to a maximum of 300 seconds is sufficient. For longer stored dirty G-las or metal objects, a treatment up to 900 seconds is appropriate. Sine Shortening of the duration of treatment is possible by soaking in the cleaning solution for 1 to 5 minutes.
