The invention relates to a method for coating evaporation spaces in steam ironing devices. The object of the invention is to find an economically favorable process for a durable and temperaturwechselbestaendige coating of the evaporation chamber in Dampfbügelvorrichtungen, which is easily reproducible, and prevents the occurrence of Leidenfrost'schen phenomenon. The coating composition should have a good spritzfaehige consistency and be storable in closed Behaeltnissen at least several weeks. The evaporation chamber coating method of steam-ironing apparatuses serves the purpose of producing a silicatic layer which is stable in steam and dry operation by applying a liquid silicate coating material to the metallic surface of the evaporation space of steam ironing apparatuses which, upon steam operation, causes Leidenfrost's phenomena upon impact prevents the water droplet on the hot surface of the evaporation chamber.
Description
Verfahren zur Verdampfungsraumbeschichtung von Dampf-BügelvorrichtungenProcess for evaporative space coating of steam ironing devices
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren 2ur Beschichtung von Verdampfungsräumen in Dampf-Bügelvorrichtungen.The invention relates to a method for coating evaporation chambers in steam ironing devices.
Charakteristik der bekannten technischen Lösungen Characteristic of the known technical solutions
Während eine reineSteam-ironing devices have a heatable, so-called evaporation space in which dripping "water is evaporated. However, water droplets striking hot metal surfaces do not evaporate uniformly and without interference, but agglomeration, spraying and hissing, the so-called Leidenfrost'sehe phenomenon, are observed Particles of the water droplets are entrained by the steam and are driven through the steam outlets, causing unwanted and annoying "spitting" or spattering. * In order to eliminate or mitigate these disadvantages, the metallic surface of the evaporation space is provided with one Layer. As the inorganic-based cladding materials, e.g. Toner hydrate (aluminum hydroxides or alumina hydrates) with low additions of e.g. Acetic acid or especially silicate materials known. Silicatic coating materials can be prepared both on the basis of silica sols and alkali silicate solutions. While a pure

Sodium silicate layer only operating temperatures of the ironing device allows up to 171 0 C, one tries to improve the properties of the coating by means of suitable additives of pesticides, such as glass powder of certain grain or granular distribution or Tonerdehydrat. Thus, a method for producing layers for vaporization chambers of steam ironing apparatus (OS 1 785 332) is known, in which a mixture of a sodium silicate solution having a molar ratio Si0p / Na2 0 -3 »5> preferably 3» 75 »and alumina hydrate in one Mass ratio 100: 8 is applied to the surface in question.
The disadvantage is that depending on the added amount of alumina hydrate a more or less strong increase in viscosity of the mixture. is reached, so that they can not be applied by spraying, but only by brushing, painting with a spatula, etc. The disadvantage here is that this application technology is uneventilhaft over the spraying and the most appropriate thickness for the coating, which is here between 20 and 50 / am, more difficult or even inaccurate can be maintained and thereby the durability is adversely affected. Lowering the clay content reduces the adhesive strength and the coating tends to peel off.

The invention has for its object to provide a method for producing a uniform, durable and temperature change resistant coating of the steam room, to develop in steam · ironing devices And to ensure the adhesion of the layer even at 4-00 0 C and higher. According to the invention, this object is achieved in that a mixture of a sodium silicate solution having a molar ratio of 310-220 = 3.0-3.4 and an SiO concentration between 22 and 28% by mass and good crystalline magnesium hydroxide in the mass ratio of sodium hydroxide solution: magnesium hydroxide between 100: 15 and 100: 24 is used, which mixture may contain up to 9% by weight of other additives such as color pigments and fillers. This mixture is dispersed for about 5 hours in a ball mill and non-heated, or by spraying on a conveniently applied to a 170 to 250 0 C Heibe substrate surface in a layer thickness of about 30 to 80 / in 'by spraying. The most appropriate layer thickness depends u..a. according to the structural properties of the evaporated evaporation space and the average operating temperatures in steam operation.
When the coating material is applied to the cold substrate surface, a thermal post-curing at 1 ° C.-250 ° C. is required. If sprayed onto the heated metal surface, thermal post-curing may possibly be omitted.
The advantages consist in the resistance of the layer to cold and warm water and water vapor, in the excellent adhesive strength, even at temperatures up to 400 C and higher, high thermal shock resistance, and that overheating and dry operation of the steam ironing device, the coating is not destroyed.
Auftreffende Wassertropfen werden auf der Besch'ichtungsfläche gleichmäßig verteilt, und bei der Arbeitstemperatur derImpacting drops of water are distributed evenly on the surface of the coating, and at the working temperature of the
Soleplate up to at least 250 0 C is the Leidenfrost'sehe phenomenon reliably prevented.
Despite its high solids content, the coating fabric has a good © sprayable consistency and is easily reproducible. "In sealed containers, it can be stored for at least several weeks without any changes in its properties.
Ein Beschichtungsstoff, bestehend aus 100g Natronwasserglaslösung (Molverhältnis SiO^NapO = 3,2 ,A coating material consisting of 100 g of sodium silicate solution (SiO 2 NapO molar ratio = 3.2,
