Abstract

Technical field

The technical solution relates to an abduction pad for maintaining the correct position of the baby feet, i.e. keeping the baby feet in the correct optimal orthopedic position.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

In newborns there is a risk of underdevelopment of the hip roofs. Until the correct development of the hip is confirmed by orthopedic examination, it is necessary to preventively keep the child's legs in a position optimal for healthy development - abduction. In the event of delayed or incorrect development, even more emphasis should be placed on maintaining the optimum hip position.

So far, an increased number of (two to three) diapers have been used to maintain optimal abduction of the baby feet. However, their volume causes inequality on the child's back, which leads to incorrect development of the spine. Other disadvantages of using diapers to provide abduction are the inability to regulate the abduction rate and also the decreasing abduction effect due to the reduction of the stiffness of the folded diapers by squeezing them.

The use of multiple folded diapers is the only known method of providing abduction prior to examination of the child's hip joints and in the event of a slight delay in their development. In case of major complications, special orthopedic preparations are therapeutically used.

One of them is the abduction duvet, which is for example a synthetic staple filled cylinder with a half-month sidecut on the sides for better leg positioning. It is placed between the baby's legs and attached to the soft pads adjacent the baby's abdomen and back. This duvet is fastened not only to the waist, but also by means of braces over the child's shoulders, which represents complicated handling.

For older children, it is necessary to ensure abduction even during movement, which is used different variants of abduction splints.

The essence of the technical solution

These drawbacks are overcome by an abduction pad for maintaining the position of the baby feet, according to the present invention, which consists of a body whose contents are filled with medium. Optionally, the body has two parts which are connected to each other by at least one clip.

Alternatively, the body forms a cavity in the middle. The body is provided with a shortening element at the ends. In an alternative embodiment, the body is located inside the soul. Spacers are detachably attached at the end of the body. The body consisting of two parts has both parts conically inserted into each other, the two parts of the body being connected by at least one coupling.

The abduction pad according to the invention allows to create a condition in infants and toddlers such that the femoral heads are placed exactly where they should be. This prevents deformation and related hip diseases. A large number of variable preferred embodiments will then ensure that the abduction pad can be used as desired for all types of diaper panties.

Further advantages of the abduction pad are simple handling, removal of the negative impacts of the diaper layer on the child's spine, permanent function over time, low manufacturing costs, easy maintenance of cleanliness and hygiene, independence of the shape of the diaper. Other important advantages are that the abduction pad will lead to the use of disposable diapers that will be replaced by diapers with a removable absorbent pad. This will lead to an environmentally friendly solution to the question of waste of materials. Execution

The central cavity abduction pad allows the portion of the diaper to be formed from a partially breathable material at the central cavity. This will provide better ventilation and reduce children's skin scalding.

Examples

The baby foot pad of FIG. 1 is formed by a body 1 filled with medium 2, for example air. At the bottom, the body 1 is provided with a Velcro 8.

The breathing insert is housed in a pocket 11 of diaper 9.

The pad of Fig. 2 is formed from two body parts 1 which are connected to each other by a clip 3.

The abrasive insert of FIG. 3 is formed by a body 1 having a cavity 4 in the middle.

The abduction pad of FIG. 4 is formed by a body I having shortening elements 20, such as Velcro fasteners, attached to its ends.

The abrasive insert of FIG. 5 has a core 6 in the body I, the core 6 being embedded in a foam shear.

The pad of Fig. 6 has a body I formed of two conical portions which are fastened together by connectors 10.

The abrasive insert of FIG. 7 has a body 1 formed of two parts which are separated from each other by a spacer 7 with connection to each other by means of a connector 12.

Manipulation of the abduction insert is accomplished by either inserting the abduction insert into the pocket 11 or attaching it to the diaper 9 by means of a fastening element, e.g., a Velcro 8. There are many ways of attaching to the diaper 9. Similarly, there are many ways of connecting the two body parts 1 and shortening by shortening elements 5. Also by combining different media 2, the desired stiffness of the abduction insert can be achieved.

The cylindrical insert can be used wherever it is necessary to delimit the designated space. Its service life is quite sufficient in view of the expected time of use.
