Abstract

The method of interrupting the continuity of a flammable terrain according to the invention is characterized by the fact that a set of 5 to 15 parallel elongated charges having a diameter of 20 to 50 mm and weights of 500 to 3000 g.mare laid in a given section of the terrain in the direction of the fire belt along its entire length at a distance of 0.3 to 0,6 m apart from each other and in a total width of 3 to 8 m; these elongated charges are transversely coupled to each other by means of the detonation pulse transfer, whereupon a detonation process is initiated in the formed unit. A detonating fuse is preferably the means for detonation pulse transfer. The initiation of the detonation process may be performed by fire ignition, electric ignition and/or remote control.
