Abstract

A filter drum comprising a supporting frame consisting of faces interconnected by cross beams (4) and having a filter cloth (1) fixed to its circumference. The filter cloth (1) is at least on a part of its circumference equipped with a circumferential attachment member (2) inserted into an attachment groove (3, 7) provided at least on the outer side of the cross beams (4) of the supporting frame of the filter drum.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a filter drum comprising a support frame formed by fronts connected by crossbeams, on the periphery of which a filter sheet is mounted. _______

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Filter cloths for drum and other filters are usually fixed by frames that are screwed to the filter construction circumferentially by a large number of screws. The design itself is labor-intensive due to the necessity of drilling a large number of holes, threading and laborious fastening. Since filter cloths need to be replaced, this operation is time-consuming and increases the cost of maintaining the filters. Another disadvantage of the present solution is that the filter surface of the drum is reduced.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

Disadvantages of the prior art are eliminated by the filter drum according to the invention, which consists in that the filter cloth is provided at least on a part of the circumference with a circumferential fastening element which is inserted into a fastening groove formed at least on the outside of the crossbeams of the filter drum support frame.

Preferably, the fastening groove is formed both on the outside of the crossbeams and on the periphery of the fronts of the filter drum support frame.

The advantage of the filter drum solution is the simple design without screw attachment of the filter cloth, reducing the manufacturing and maintenance costs of the filter drum.

In order to ensure a reliable attachment of the filter cloth, the circumferential fastening element in the fastening groove can be secured by a resilient element.

An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawing, in which Fig. 1 shows a partial section through a filter drum with a filter cloth and Fig. 2 shows a section through a filter cloth with a fixed peripheral fastening element.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The filter drum comprises a filter cloth 1 and a support frame formed by fronts 5 between which the crossbeams 4 are fixed. On the outside of the crossbeams 4 of the support frame, fastening grooves 3 are formed which are open from the outside of the filter drum.

On the periphery of the fronts 5 of the filter drum support frame, front fastening grooves 7 are fixed, which in other embodiments can be replaced by known flat fasteners with screws.

______________ A circumferential fastening element 2, which has a semicircular cross-section in the illustrated embodiment, is attached to the filter sheet 1, for example by gluing. The illustrated semicircular cross-sectional shape of the peripheral attachment element 2 may be replaced by another known shape.

The peripheral fastening element 2 is received in the fastening grooves 3, ^{where it} is inserted by its open side. In each attachment groove 2 mounted on the crossbeam 4, two peripheral attachment elements 2 are disposed opposite one another, between which a resilient element 6 is inserted, which secures the peripheral attachment elements 2 against falling out of the attachment groove 3. ·

The cross-sectional shape of the elastic element 6, as well as the cross-sectional shape of the fastening groove 3, can also be formed in a manner other than that shown.

The filter sheet 1 may be supported on known fins (not shown) mounted on a support frame of the filter drum.

When replacing the filter cloth 1, the resilient element 6 is removed, thereby releasing circumferential fastening elements 2 in the fixing trough 3, 7 so that they can be easily removed from the fixing trough 3 and removed from the filter drum. After placing the new filter cloth 1 on the filter drum, the circumferential fastening elements 2 are inserted into the fastening grooves 3, 7 and then secured against falling out by inserting the elastic element 6, whereby the filter cloth 1 is fixed on the filter drum and the filter is ready for further operation.

In another alternative embodiment, the resilient element 6 may be omitted, the peripheral attachment elements 2 being held in the attachment grooves 3, 7 by the tension exerted by the filter cloth 1.

Claims (3)

A filter drum comprising a supporting frame formed by faces connected by crossbeams, on the periphery of which a filter cloth is fixed, characterized in that the filter cloth (1) is provided at least on a part of its periphery with a peripheral fastening element (2) which is is inserted into a fixing groove (3, 7) formed at least on the outside of the crossbeams (4) of the filter drum support frame. Filter drum according to claim 1, characterized in that the fastening groove (3) is formed on the outside of the crossbeams (4) and the front fastening groove (7) is formed on the periphery of the faces (5) of the filter drum support frame. Filter drum according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the peripheral attachment element (2) is secured in the attachment groove (3, 7) by a resilient element (6).
