Abstract

Η παρούσα εφεύρεση παρέχει μία συσκευή για τη μείωση της εκπομπής σωματιδίων άνθρακα από την καύση υδρογονανθράκων, πλέον συγκεκριμένα, την εκπομπή από την εξάτμιση οχημάτων. Η συσκευή περιλαμβάνει μία δυάδα ηλεκτρικά αγώγιμων περιστροφικών στοιχείων φορτισμένων με αντίθετη πολικότητα, φορτισμένων με υψηλή τάση ώστε να δημιουργηθεί εκκένωση στέμματος και να συσσωματωθούν τα ιονισμένα σωματίδια άνθρακα τα οποία καθαρίζονται με τη χρήση ενός πλήθους σαρώθρων. Τα συσσωματωμένα σωματίδια άνθρακα ακολούθως διαχωρίζονται σε ένα αφαιρούμενο κουτί συλλογής ή ενδεχομένως τροφοδοτούνται σε ένα φίλτρο κυκλώνα και μπορούν εύκολα να απορριφθούν. Διάφορες υλοποιήσεις μπορούν να εγκατασταθούν σε υφιστάμενα οχήματα, όπως επίσης σε θέσεις ρύπανσης ανοικτής πηγής, και η παρούσα εφεύρεση βοηθά στην αντιμετώπιση της ατμοσφαιρικής ρύπανσης.
