Abstract

Nucleic acid analysis is performed by hybridizing the nucleic acids with specific probes, or by chain reaction amplification with specific primers. The methods are applicable to all viral pathogens, including RNA viruses, DNA viruses, somatic viruses, or embedded viruses.
