Abstract

Ένα δάπεδο (2) κατασκευάζεται από μια πλειάδα πλακών δαπέδου (1, 1') που αλληλεπιδρούν. Κατά προτίμηση, κάθε πλάκα δαπέδου περιλαμβάνει ένα επάνω στρώμα (5) και ένα κάτω στρώμα (6). Η πλάκα δαπέδου (1, 1') διαθέτει τμήματα πλάκας (14) σε δύο γειτονικές ακραίες περιοχές (12, 13), με τα εν λόγω τμήματα να προεξέχουν ελαφρώς από το κυρίως σχήμα της πλάκας δαπέδου. Το κατώτατο τμήμα κάθε πλάκας δαπέδου διαθέτει μια πλειάδα προεξοχών (17) στις δύο ακραίες περιοχές που προεξέχουν ελαφρώς από το κυρίως σχήμα της πλάκας, με τις εν λόγω προεξοχές να εκτείνονται προς τα επάνω από την πλάκα δαπέδου και να διαθέτουν οπές ασφάλισης (19) ή αυλακώσεις για την υποδοχή των προεξοχών ασφάλισης (21) που εκτείνονται προς τα κάτω από την κάτω πλευρά των γειτονικών πλακών δαπέδου. Κατά συνέπεια, το δάπεδο εμφανίζει ισχυρή συνοχή όταν εκτίθεται στην επίδραση δυνάμεων στο επίπεδο του ίδιου του δαπέδου.
