Η εφεύρεση έχει ως αντικείμενο μια μέθοδο ανάλυσης των ηπαρινών ή των ηπαρινών χαμηλού μοριακού βάρους, η οποία μέθοδος χαρακτηρίζεται από το ότι το δοσιμετρικό δείγμα αποπολυμερίζεται με ηπαρινάσες και στη συνέχεια, κατά περίπτωση, το λαμβανόμενο προϊόν αποπολυμερισμού μειώνεται κι έπειτα πραγματοποιείται μια ανάλυση με υγρή χρωματογραφία υψηλής απόδοσης.
