Abstract
La presente invención pertenece a la rama técnica de la bioincrustación, que es el crecimiento y adherencia de diversos organismos marinos sobre estructuras en ambientes acuáticos.</p> <p>Se divulgan un dispositivo y un método para la protección de elementos y/o estructuras que están expuestos, sumergidos y/o parcialmente sumergidos en ambientes acuáticos de contaminación y/o incrustación debido a la incursión y/o colonización por tipos y/o clases específicos de organismos biológicos y/o plantas, en donde el dispositivo comprende una estructura abierta en forma de bolsa o saco que tiene una abertura y un extremo distal cerrado, comprendiendo dicha estructura abierta una malla, celosía, fenestrada o aberturas que permiten el flujo de fluido a través de la misma, y en donde el método para reducir la bioincrustación en un sustrato parcialmente sumergido en un ambiente acuoso, comprende las etapas de utilizar dicha estructura abierta para recibir dicho sustrato, separar un ambiente acuoso en un ambiente acuoso local y un ambiente acuoso abierto y dispensar una sustancia que reduce el contenido de oxígeno disuelto dentro del ambiente acuoso local en al menos un 5 %. </p>
