Abstract

Se obtiene un mapa tridimensional de la probabilidad de estados funcionales cerebrales a partir de las senales eléctricas y/o magnéticas (EEG/MEG) medidas en la superficie del cuero cabelludo. Para ello se obtienen los parámetros descriptivos estadísticos del EEG/MEG y se calcula un mapa de su distribución cerebral. El mapa es la solución inversa del EEG/MEG basada en: a) la restricción de la solución a estructuras con alta probabilidad de generar actividad eléctrica utilizando para ello un Atlas Cerebral y b) que la solución tenga una suavidad pre-especificada. Se determina la probabilidad de que dicho mapa, o un subconjunto del mismo, pertenezca a un grupo patrón. Para esta determinación se modelan las correlaciones espaciales del mapa, así como, su dependencia de covariables experimentales. Las probabilidades resultantes se codifican en una escala de pseudocolor y se superponen sobre un Atlas Cerebral para su visualización tridimensional interactiva. Los Atlas Cerebrales que se utilizan en la solución del problema inverso y para la visualización pueden ser neuroimágenes individuales, Atlas Probabilíticos o deformaciones plásticas de un Atlas Probabilístico a la morfología de un individuo. A esta metodología la denominamos Análisis Cuantitativo Electro/Magnético Encefalográfico Tomográfico (qEEG-T).
