Abstract
Method involves the introduction into the structure of a continuous measured stream of air, controlled to maintain the pressure inside the structure within given limits. Measurement of the air flow indicates the leakage rate from the structure. The equipment comprises compressor unit, air supply pipe to the space in the structure pressure, humidity and temp. measuring devices located inside the structure control equipment and air flow measuring unit, located in the supply pipe, the control equipment is in the form of a control valve actuated by the control unit signal, which is based on the pressure measurement inside the structure. In one form of the proposed equipment the control valve is located in a by-pass line. - In one pref. version the temp. measurement is carried out by a number of sensor elements connected in series, every other element being located in a different part of space within the structure. The elements in between are all located together in a space less than 1 dm3 to form a reference gp.
