Abstract

A roof ventilation arrangement with a roof ventilation valve (1) fitted beneath the ridge tile (4) has a gap (7) in the longitudinal edges in which are fitted inserts which cause the air flowing into the gap to eddy or divert it. The roof ventilation valve (1) may have devices by means of which the gap (7) can be completely closed so that there is a gap on the leeward side only. The suction effect thus achieved can be used to take off exhaust air from the inner roof space through the ventilation gaps to the outside on the leeward side.
