Abstract

The deflector comprises a monolithic backing strip (4) and sides (5) consisting of plates (52) which overlap, in the form of scales. This deflector and the sides are obtained from a single blank from which they are pre-cut. Means permit the radius of curvature of the deflector to be modified. They consist of a yoke (stirrup-shaped member) (6) articulated to a frame (9) integral with the base (3) of the deflector; this yoke (stirrup-shaped member) is fixed at one of its ends to the downstream portion of the deflector and its other end is subjected to the action of a thrust actuator (11) fixed to the said base (3).
