Abstract

1. Device for mechanically cleaning the lateral faces of the stone stoppers of coke oven doors, which stoppers taper towards the metal body of the door, forming vertical gas ducts, characterized in that the vertical tool columns (11) carrying the cleaning tools (7) can be displaced, relative to the movable tool support frame (12) connected to them and arranged in parallel thereto, from the travelling position, in which the cleaning tools (7) are withdrawn from the lateral faces to be cleaned of the stone stopper (4, 5), into the cleaning position, in which the cleaning tools (7) lie against the lateral faces, to such an extent that the cleaning tools (7) in their withdrawn position can be moved away above the wider part of the stone stopper (4, 5).
