Abstract

The solution concerns a method of production of gluconic acid in submerged culture of Aspergillus niger by conversion of a glucose substrate with use of hydrogen peroxide as the source of oxygen. The glucose substrate means glucose, glucose-fructose syrups, hydrolysates of amylaceous and cellulose materials and other substrates containing free glucose. The advantage of this method consists in the fact that the highly productive strand of Aspergillus niger N-XI is used to achieve multiple acceleration of production of gluconic acid while maintaining high yields and selectivity of the conversion, and enables to use also highly concentrated glucose substrates up to 50 percent by weight.
