Uvedené nedostatky odstraňuje univerzálny žlab podlá vynálezu, ktorého podstata spočívá v tom, že na teleso žlabu s dorazom sú upevněné horný vodiaci uholník a dolný vodiaci uhol- nik prestavitelne pomocou vložiek a skrutiek. Výhoda univerzálneho žlabu podlá vynálezu spočívá v tom, že vodiace uholníky upevněné na teleso žlabu sú prestaviteíné podlá rozměru obrobku v danom rozsahu žlabu. Ďalšou výhodou je úspora pracnosti pri výrobě žlabov a úspora materiálu. Příklad riešenia univerzálneho žlabu podlá vynálezu je vyobrazený na připojených výkresoch.
