Abstract

The solution relates to a protective shielding cover against penetrating radiation, especially parts of nuclear reactors, which consists of a welded sheet metal shell provided with a filling opening with a closure. The essence of the solution lies in the fact that the shell is filled with balls or shot of various sizes from jet waste. According to another feature, the surfaces of the two-part cover that fit with parts of active pipe distributions, for example elbows, are shaped, and an internal lock is created in the dividing plane of the protective cover.

Description

Vynález se týká ochranného stínícího krytu před pronikavým zářením, zejména u součástí jaderných reaktorů.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The invention relates to a shielding shield against penetrating radiation, in particular for nuclear reactor components.

Until now, shielding guards are made of solid cast iron castings or steel forgings machined to the desired shapes and dimensions. The protective effect of the cover against penetrating radiation increases in proportion to the thickness of the cover. However, this directly increases material consumption, energy consumption during processing and difficulty in handling and assembling the covers.

The disadvantage of the existing constructions is therefore the high material consumption with respect to the required active thicknesses of the covers, which is directly related! and high labor intensity, especially during their forging and machining. Also, shielding shields made of thin-walled sheathing and filled with concrete or resin, to which a metal substance in the form of chips and the like can be added, have the disadvantages of low density, poor thermal conductivity and loss resulting from the heating of the shields.

These drawbacks are overcome by a shielding shield against penetrating radiation, in particular in the nuclear reactor component according to the invention, which consists of a welded sheet metal casing having a filling opening with a closure. The sheet metal casing is filled with steel balls or pellets of two or different sizes, which makes it possible to achieve a maximum density easily after filling the casing, which is always higher than when the casing is filled with pressed chips. The shielding shield is preferably two-part, with its surfaces flush with the portions of the active piping, such as elbows, formed and an internal lock is formed in the separation plane.

The construction of the shielding shield according to the invention is highly economical, the advantage lies in the substantially simpler manufacture of the housing of the shield from a sheet of the order of a few millimeters, using conventional stamping and locksmithing technologies. Filling the cover with an active metal substance, pellets or pellets and compacting the fill to maximum density is a simple matter.

The covers can be made non-removable, or split so that they can be removed from the shielded pipe. The method of manufacturing PV shielding shields considerably simplifies and makes their manufacture cheaper. The casing is made by pressing and welding from sheet metal to the required size and shape. Worn shot blasting shot pellets, possibly together with the fine forgings produced, are used as the active shielding mass of the cover.

Využitím odpadu vzniká podstatná úspora materiálu jak proti litým, tak proti kovaným elementům stínících krytů. Proti krytům z plechových pláštů plněných betonem ve kterém mohou být kovové částice vzniká výhoda vyšší hustoty, lepší tepelné vodivosti a v případě natěsnání výplně i možnosti jejího chlazení.The utilization of waste results in a substantial material saving against both cast and forged shielding elements. The advantages of higher density, better thermal conductivity and, in the case of sealing of the filler, the possibility of cooling it, can be achieved against metal-cased sheet metal casings in which the metal particles can be.

An exemplary embodiment of a shielding shield according to the invention is shown schematically in the attached drawing, in which a split shielding is shown in axonometric view.

The split, removable protective shielding bend 2 of the primary circuit of a 250 MW nuclear power plant is made up of two parts consisting of a molded sheath 6, manufactured and welded from a 2.5 mm thick steel sheet. At the front of each half of the casing 4 of the cover 4 is formed a filling opening 4 through which the casing 4 is filled with a mixture of worn balls or pellets of different sizes from the jets. After filling, the opening is closed with a fixed or adjustable closure to define a possible cavity.

The dividing plane aligned with the knee 4 is formed into its negative shape and is provided with an internal lock 6 to provide local protection from penetrating radiation.

The protective shielding cover 5 is produced by filling the pre-welded sheet housing cover with a filler opening 5 consisting of steel pellets or spheres of various sizes which are easily compacted to maximum density by mechanical movement of the cover. Then, the filling opening 4 is closed, or an empty space in the filling is defined with the tumbler, which can also arise during further handling of the cover.
