Vynález sa' týká dierovača korkových zátiek, ktorý umožňuje odpichovanie dierok v korkových zátkách bez akéhokolvek rizika poranenia prstov- alebo dlaně a tak podstatné zvyšuje bezpečnost pracovníka. Převážná vačšina biologických materiálov od zdravých, či chorých 1'udí je dodávaná do mikrobiologických laboratórii na vatových tampónoch v skleněných skúmavkách. V súčasnosti je usporiadanie jednotlivých prvkov také, že na jednom konci drevenej špilky je navinutá vata pričom jej druhý koniec sa zasunie do korkovej zátky, v ktorej sa musí najprv zhotovit otvor pre špilu — dierka. Doposial' sa dierky v korkových zátkách zhotovovali pomocou korkovrtu alebo obuvnického šidla ručně. Takto došlo neraz i k vpichom do prstov, alebo dlaně pracovníkov, čo značné znepříjemňovalo prácu a vyžadovalo si ošetřeme.
Uvedený nedostatok odstraňuje dierovač podta vynálezu, ktorého podstata spočívá v tom, že pozostáva zo stojanu s válcovým telesom, v ktorom je centricky uložená dierovacia ihla s tlačnou pružinou a výtlačníkom, osadená vo vrátnom válci so sedlom, ktorý je tiež opatřený pružinou. Na stojane je otočné osadená páka a odpružený plést. Sedlo korkovej zátky je vyměnitelné,

Pákou 8 cez piest 9 sa zatlačí korková zátka 11 spolu so sedlom 10, vrátným valcom 6 a výtlačníkom 5 na pevnú dierovaciu ihlu 3, ktorá vytvoří v korkovej zátke 11 požadovaný otvor.
