Abstract

The subject of the invention is a simple runner for external skeletal fixation, which is a connecting and fixing element of a universal skeletal fixation kit. The simple runner according to the invention consists of two plates with a freely sliding drill guide sleeve, provided with a locking screw in the head. An opening for a compression-distraction device is provided in the base plate. This plate is provided with longitudinal guide grooves, while the attachment plate has transverse guide grooves. The present simple runner can be advantageously used in external skeletal fixation sets intended for the treatment of infected fractures and subluxation.

The subject of the invention is a simple external skeletal fixation runner which is the connecting and fixing element of the universal skeletal fixation kit.

The simple runner according to the invention consists of two plates with a freely sliding drill guide sleeve provided with a locking screw in the head. An opening for the compression distraction device is provided in the base plate. This plate is provided with longitudinal guide grooves, while the insert has transverse guide grooves.

The subject single runner can advantageously be used in external skeletal fixation kits intended to treat infected fractures and nonunions.

The subject of the invention is a simple external skeletal fixation runner which is a connecting and securing element of a universal skeletal fixation kit intended for use in the treatment of open infected fractures and articular joints in the long bone region, i. femur - femur - and tibia - tibia etc, including its distraction.

For the above-mentioned operations, mainly gypsum external fixation has been used so far, which does not offer a good possibility of treatment of open fractures and joints and it is not possible to shorten and lengthen the bones. It is therefore of limited use and the result may not always be good. In addition, Judet's rigid ruler plate with fixed pitch holes is used, which greatly restricts the choice of screw insertion points due to the nature of the bone fracture; other disadvantages are the possibility to compress only the elasticity of the inserted screws, wrapped with rubber bandage, the necessity to use special drill sleeves or templates for drilling holes in the plate and bones. Another known fixation element is telescopic fixators with fixed pitch apertures, which also limit the choice of screw insertion location with different bone fracture patterns. Also the use of other known and still used frame fixation is conditioned by the use of drill sleeves or templates for drilling holes in the plate and bone. These fixations bring another drawback in the displacement of the individual runners along the threaded rod, which results in an uneven distribution of the compression of the bone portions, and in addition, a special target has to be used to drill the holes. Claims (2)

The object of my fixation types is to mention the impossibility of using them in skeletal fixation for single and multi-plane superstable fixation. The aforementioned disadvantages of the known fixation methods are overcome by the multi-element and multipurpose fixation, one element of which is a simple slider according to the invention, characterized in that an opening is provided in the base plate for connection to the compression distraction device and provided with longitudinal grooves while the plate has transverse guide grooves. The advantage of the present runner is that, with other elements, it enables the formation of a rigid rigid skeleton according to individual needs, the attachment of operating aids, ie screws and nails, and their displacement to create a perfect bone reduction. Another advantage is that it serves as a drill sleeve and is adapted to be coupled to a compression distraction device. Last but not least, they form the reinforcement of the fixing frames. An exemplary embodiment of a simple slider according to the invention is shown in the accompanying drawing, in FIG. 1 in plan view and in FIG. 2 in a side view. The single runner is formed by a base plate 2 with an aperture 6 for a compression-scattering device which is provided with longitudinal guide grooves. The insert plate 2 has transverse guide grooves. The drill guide sleeve 3 is slidably passed through the plates 1, 2, the head of which is provided with a locking screw 4 and the other end has a thread for the clamping nut 5. The single runner of the invention can be advantageously used in external skeletal fixation assemblies.
