Abstract
Un sistema y metodos para detectar y medir la enfermedad periodontal que comprende llenar un receptaculo periodontal con un fluido capaz de propagar ondas sonoras, transmitir una onda sonora al receptaculo periodontal, detectar la onda sonora de vuelta desde el receptaculo periodontal, y determinar la profundidad del receptaculo midiendo el tiempo que le toma a por lo menos una onda sonora transmitida atravesar el receptaculo periodontal y volver. Tambien se proporciona un algoritmo de analisis de discriminacion de picos.
