Abstract
<em>El presente invento se relaciona con un gen modificado que proporciona resistencia al virus del Desorden de Atrofia Amarilla en Cucurbitáceas (CYSDV) cuando está presente en una planta de la familia de las Cucurbitaceae. El invento se relaciona además a la progenie, semilla y fruta de la planta que es resistente contra el CYSDV. El invento también se relaciona al material de propagación adecuado para producir la planta que es resistente al CYSDV. De manera adicional, el invento se relaciona a métodos para producir, identificar, y seleccionar una planta de la familia de las Cucurbitaceae que tengan resistencia contra el CYSD </em>
