Abstract

Un sistema de navegación quirúrgica basado en imágenes que, conectado a un computador con el software adecuado, permite realizar cirugías guiadas por imágenes diagnósticas previamente registradas. Este dispositivo facilita al cirujano la ubicación del instrumental quirúrgico sobre las imágenes diagnósticas y sobre la reconstrucción tridimensional lograda a partir de las mismas. Adicionalmente este dispositivo facilita la marcación de eventos con el apoyo de un pedal conectado al computador para que el médico pueda registrar las coordenadas de puntos de interés durante la cirugía. El sistema comprende un sensor dual (300) de campos AC conectado a cada instrumento quirúrgico usado, una fuente de señales (200) y un pedal de marcación de eventos (400) cuya activación hace que el sistema almacene las variables del instante o intervalo de tiempo de activación. El sistema tiene la capacidad de almacenar y procesar la información obtenida por los sensores y una imagen diagnóstica previa para su visualización.
