Abstract
La presente invención se relaciona con un dispositivo (108) para la recepción en flujo de paquetes de datos de audio o video transmitidos por una red (104) desde un servidor fuente (101). La invención aplica solamente al campo de datos transmitidos en modo de flujo. El dispositivo (108) comprende una memoria intermedia de red (110) en La cual se pueden almacenar los paquetes y la cual presenta un tiempo de inserción variable y unos medios (120) para adaptar el tiempo de inserción de la memoria intermedia con el propósito de mejorar el desempeño de la reproducción. El dispositivo (108) adicionalmente comprende medios (121) para determinar localmente el valor de al menos un indicador de calidad de servicio (135, 136, 137), en donde los medios (120) para adaptar el tiempo de inserción de la memoria intermedia, adaptan este tiempo como una función del valor del indicador.
