Abstract

La PPDA comprende poner en contacto una muestra biológica del sujeto con una mezcla de componentes inmunogénicos específicos del virus del dengue; y determinar la presencia de un complejo que se forma entre una molécula de enlace presente en la muestra biológica y un componente inmunogénico específico del virus del dengue; y caracterizar la molécula de enlace presente en el complejo con un anticuerpo contra la molécula de enlace conjugada con oro coloidal usando la tecnología de flujo inverso.The present invention provides a point-of-care test (PPDA) to detect a subject who has had an exposure to a dengue virus or an immunological relative thereof or who has reached some level of immunity against a dengue virus antigen. The method is predicated in part on the detection of a binding molecule that is specific for a dengue virus or an immunological relative thereof. PPDA comprises contacting a biological sample of the subject with a mixture of specific immunogenic components of dengue virus; and determining the presence of a complex that is formed between a binding molecule present in the biological sample and a specific immunogenic component of dengue virus; and characterizing the binding molecule present in the complex with an antibody against the colloidal gold conjugated binding molecule using reverse flow technology.
