Abstract

A process for obtaining solid paraffins from vegetable oils and / or animal fats characterized in that it comprises the steps of: a. Preheat vegetable oil and / or animal fat to a temperature between 50 and 100 ° C. b. Mix the preheated vegetable oil and / or animal fat in step a) with the hydrogen inside the transport pipe. C. Heat the mixture in an oven at the reaction temperature, which is between 150 ° C and 330 ° C, depending on the quality of the catalyst. d. Pass the mixture from step c) through a reactor filled with a catalyst selected from the group comprising CoMo, NiMo, NiW, CoW, which have been subjected to a sulfurization process and supported on? -Alumin. This stage of the hydrotreatment reaction is carried out at a temperature between 150 ° C and 330 ° C, a pressure between 2 MPa and 11 MPa, a spatial velocity between 0.5 h-1 and 6 h-1 and a hydrogen ratio per oil load between 300 L of H2 per liter of oil and 500 L of H2 per liter of oil. and. Collect the product from the previous stage in closed containers and separate them by decantation in three phases: water, solid paraffins and gases. These currents are physically separated by techniques sufficiently known and used in the industry. The process for obtaining solid paraffins from vegetable oils and / or animal fats according to claim 1 characterized in that the gases obtained in step e) can be used as fuels within the refinery or can be separated and purified to recover the hydrogen, which is recirculated. The process for obtaining solid paraffins from vegetable oils and / or animal fats according to claim 1 characterized in that the paraffins obtained in step e) are further subjected to a distillation stage to obtain a product with a higher melting point depending on the separation temperature used.
