Abstract

Un método para hacer poliacrilamida mediantepolimerización de emulsión inversa, que comprende dispersar una solución acuosa de monómeros polimerizables incluyendo acrilamida, en una fase aceite incluyendo por lo menos un aceite a base de éster, el sistema además incluyendo una composición surfactante que incluye: a. un surfactante carboxílico polimérico b. un emulsionante HLB bajo: y c. un estructurante de fase aceite, y polimerizar los monómeros polimerizables para formar una suspensión coloidal de partículas de una solución o dispersión del polímero de poliacrilamida resultante en agua, en el aceite. Un método como se estipula en la reivindicación 1, en donde el surfactante carboxílico polimérico es o incluye por lo menos un éster complejo hecho mediante la reacción de ácidos succínicos con sustitución de hidrocarbilo de cadena larga y polialquilen glicoles, y opcionalmente uno o más alcoholes polihídricos y/o ácidos monocarboxílicos.
