Abstract
Un método para reducir el olor asociado con un compuesto orgánicoque contiene azufre, dicho método que comprende los pasos de: proporcionar un compuesto orgánico que contiene azufre;proporcionar un compuesto de metal de transición polivalente; y acoplar el dicho compuesto de metal de transición polivalente o indirectamente con el dicho compuesto orgánico que contiene azufre en forma tal que se reduce el olor asociado con el dicho compuesto que contiene azufre. El método de la reivindicación 1, donde el dicho compuesto de metal de transición se selecciona a partir del grupo que consiste de compuestos de cobre, níquel, hierro, zinc y combinaciones de ellos. Una composición que comprende un compuesto orgánico que contiene azufre, en mezcla con un compuesto de metal de transición polivalente, donde el dicho compuesto de metal de transición está presente en una cantidad suficiente para reducir el olor del dicho compuesto orgánico que contiene azufre.
