Abstract

Un método para tratar a un sujeto humano u otro animal quetiene un trastorno del metabolismo óseo, que comprende los pasos de:(a) administrar al sujeto antes mencionado una cantidad segura y eficaz de un compuesto antiresorbente. durante un período de 2 semanas a 6 meses, aproximadamente. (b) administrar al sujeto antes mencionado una cantidad segura y eficaz de una hormona paratiroidea, durante un período de 3 a 12 meses. Un método para tratar a un sujeto humano u otro animal, según la Reivindicación 1, en donde, en el paso (b), la hormona paratiroidea antes mencionada se administra durante 6 meses aproximadamente. Un método para tratar a un sujeto humano u otro animal, según la Reivindicación 1, en donde los pasos (a) y (b) antes mencionados se repiten 1 a 6 veces. Un método para tratar a un sujeto humano u otro animal, según la Reivindicación 3, que comprende adicionalmente la administración de un compuesto antiresorbente durante el paso (b). Un método para tratar a un sujeto humano u otro animal, según la Reivindicación 4, en donde, en el paso (a), el compuesto antiresorbente antes mencionado se administra durante 2 meses a 6 meses, aproximadamente. A method of treating a human or other animal subject, according to Claim 1, wherein steps (a) and (b) above are repeated 1 to 6 times. A method of treating a human or other animal subject, according to Claim 3, further comprising administering an antiresorbent compound during step (b). A method of treating a human or other animal subject, according to Claim 4, wherein, in step (a), the aforementioned antiresorbent compound is administered for approximately 2 months to 6 months. A method of treating a human or other animal subject, according to Claim 5, wherein the antiresorbent compound is an estrogen compound.
