Abstract
Un explosivo de refuerzo (10) comprende un cuerpo de bote (12) dentro del cual hay una cápsula fulminante (20) que tiene dispuesto en su interior un detonador (24). Un manguito protector (28) encierra la cápsula fulminante (20) excepto esa porción de la cápsula fulminante, la porción activa (20d), que encierra la sección de extremo explosivo (24a) del detonador (24). El manguito protector sirve para atenuar la fuerza de las ondas de choque de explosiones anteriores cercanas que actúan sobre el detonador (24). Puede proporcionarse un espacio de aire anular (32) entre el manguito protector (28) y la cápsula fulminante (20) para atenuar aún más la fuerza de tales ondas de choque. La atenuación de las ondas de choque reduce la probabilidad de daño a los detonadores (24) por explosiones cercanas anteriores.
