Abstract
RESUMEN Sistemas y métodos para evitar la rotación de un motor de ESP cuando el motor no está encendido, de esta manera se evita que el motor actúe como generador cuando el fluido que fluye a través de la sección de bomba de la ESP aplica una torsión al motor. En una modalidad, una ESP tiene una sección de motor, una sección de bomba. La ESP puede incluir un acoplamiento direccional que permite la rotación unidireccional entre el vástago de motor y un vástago de bomba de la sección de bomba, y un bloqueo direccional que permite la rotación unidireccional entre el vástago de motor y un alojamiento de la sección de motor. El acoplamiento direccional y el bloqueo direccional permiten que el vástago de bomba se desplace libremente en la dirección hacia adelante sin hacer que el vástago de motor rote, y evitan que el vástago de bomba y el motor roten en la dirección inversa.
