Abstract
Los métodos, sistemas, y medios legibles por computadora pueden hacerse funcionar para facilitar un intercambio de mensajes entre un punto de acceso y una estación, en donde el punto de acceso solicita un identificador único de la estación. La estación puede responder con un mensaje que se niega a proporcionar un identificador único o responder con un mensaje que incluye un identificador único que utilizará el punto de acceso para la estación. La respuesta de la estación puede incluir limitaciones adicionales sobre el uso del identificador único por parte del punto de acceso. El punto de acceso puede aplicar diferentes políticas contra una estación dependiendo de cómo la estación responda a la solicitud de identificador único.
