Abstract

本实用新型揭示一种用于网路通讯设备的模组电连接器。该电连接器包括绝缘本体、装置于绝缘本体的若干导电端子及定位件。绝缘本体设有供一接插头插入的容室。端子固定于容室的一侧壁并设有从该侧壁外侧延伸至内侧的弯曲部,及连接于弯曲部并倾斜向容室底壁延伸的倾斜部。定位件安装于容室内,并与倾斜部末端配合。本实用新型电连接器端子自固定壁一侧装入绝缘本体中,然后再弯折形成倾斜部,最后定位件装于绝缘本体中与倾斜部末端配合,以定位端子并防止其被插入的插头拔出时被带出,并简化电连接器装配操作。

【技术领域】
本实用新型涉及一种用于网路通讯设备的模组电连接器,特别是涉及该种电连接器端子的定位结构。
【背景技术】
美国专利US 5,456,619揭示一种用于网路通讯设备的模组电连接器,其包括绝缘本体及端子模组,绝缘本体包括底壁及自底壁周边向一侧延伸的若干侧壁,并由底壁与侧壁形成用以收容一对接插头的容室,端子模组从底壁一侧装入绝缘本体,其端子设有自靠近一侧壁延伸末端位置倾斜向底壁延伸的倾斜部,底壁设有与倾斜部末端相配合的端子槽,从而限制端子末端的位置,并防止对接插头插入后再拔出时,将端子的倾斜部带出。此种结构需先形成端子模组,再将端子模组组装于绝缘本体,制程较为复杂,增加生产成本。
美国专利US 6,431,917揭示另一种用于网路通讯设备的模组电连接器,其结构与美国专利US 5,456,619所揭示相似,惟其端子自绝缘本体的一侧壁装入容室内,并且在容室内对端子进行弯折,从而形成处于容室中的倾斜部,在弯折的同时沿端子长度方向推移端子,使端子倾斜部与设置在底壁上的凸出部配合,从而形成定位。此种结构制程复杂,且倾斜部与凸出部配合长度难以控制,从而导致对接插头插入再拔出时,可能将端子的倾斜部带出。
【实用新型内容】
本实用新型即为提供一种用于网路通讯设备的模组电连接器,其设有便于连接器装配的端子定位结构。
本实用新型之电连接器包括绝缘本体、装置于绝缘本体的若干导电端子及定位件,该绝缘本体设有底壁及自底壁的四周向一侧延伸侧壁,并由底壁与侧壁形成容室,该容室在侧壁的延伸末端具有插口以便一对接插头插入,其中一侧壁为端子固定壁;所述端子设有从固定壁外侧延伸至内侧的弯曲部,并设有连接于弯曲部并倾斜向底壁延伸的倾斜部;前述定位件安装于容室内,并与倾斜部末端配合。
相对现有技术,本实用新型电连接器结构使端子可自固定壁一侧装入绝缘本体中,然后再弯折形成倾斜部,最后定位件装于绝缘本体中与倾斜部末端配合,从而稳定定位端子,防止其被插入的插头拔出时被带出,并简化装配操作。

【具体实施方式】
图1所示为本实用新型的电连接器100的立体分解图,其包括绝缘本体20、装置于绝缘本体20的若干导电端子40及装入绝缘本体20内的定位件60。
图2为本实用新型的电连接器100的绝缘本体20的立体视图。结合参阅图1与图2,该绝缘本体20设有底壁22及自底壁22的四周向一侧延伸侧壁26,并由底壁22与侧壁26形成容室30,该容室30在侧壁26的延伸末端具有插口32以便一对接插头(未图示)插入。其中一侧壁为端子固定壁24,该固定壁24的外侧设有用以固定端子40的固定槽246,且该固定壁24靠近插口32处设有贯通固定壁24的开口244,开口244靠近底壁22的一侧设有若干端子槽242,该等端子槽242从该固定壁24外侧延伸至内侧。与固定壁24相邻的两相对侧壁26内侧设有延伸至插口32的导引槽262及靠近底壁22的楔形块264,导引槽262用以提供定位件60装入绝缘本体20时的导引作用,楔形块264用以防止定位件60退出绝缘本体20。
端子40设有固定部42,用以将端子40固定于固定壁24外侧的固定槽246内,并自固定部42沿固定壁24外侧延伸,并设有从固定壁24外侧延伸至内侧的弯曲部44、连接于弯曲部44并与固定壁24平行的平直部48、连接于平直部48并倾斜向底壁22延伸的倾斜部46。
参阅图1与图3,所示定位件60为一梳状体,其设有平行排列的若干槽口66,各槽口66用以与装于绝缘本体20中的端子40的倾斜部46定位配合,从而防止对接插头插入连接器100后拔出时将倾斜部46带出。梳状体的相对两端设有凸出的导引部62及卡块64,其导引部62与导引槽262配合从而便于将定位件60装入绝缘本体20的容室30中,而定位件60装于最后位置后,卡块64与楔形块264配合,从而防止定位件60退出容室30。另外,形成槽口66的槽口壁67设有沿槽口66的开口方向延伸的凸筋672,该凸筋672用以与倾斜部46末端形成准确定位配合,使各端子40之间的距离均匀并便于装配。
参阅图4与图5,其分别为本实用新型电连接器组装完毕后的立体视图与剖视图。在本实用新型电连接器100组装时,可先将尚未完全弯曲成型的导电端子40(仅其弯曲部44弯曲角度较小)自定位壁24的开口244将倾斜部46插入绝缘本体20的容室30中,再将端子40的固定部42压紧于定位壁24外侧的固定槽246,然后将端子40完全弯折,从而使平直部48抵压于固定壁24内侧,最后将定位件60自绝缘本体20的插口32装入容室30中,并使卡块64卡入楔形块264,从而使定位件60稳定装于容室30内,其梳状槽口66与端子40的倾斜部46稳定配合。

Claims (8)

1.一种电连接器,其包括绝缘本体及装置于绝缘本体的若干导电端子,该绝缘本体设有底壁及自底壁的四周向一侧延伸侧壁,并由底壁与侧壁形成容室,该容室在侧壁的延伸末端具有插口以便一对接插头插入,其中一侧壁为端子固定壁;所述端子设有从固定壁外侧延伸至内侧的弯曲部,及连接于弯曲部并倾斜向底壁延伸的倾斜部,其特征在于:该电连接器还包括定位件,该定位件安装于容室内,并与倾斜部末端配合。
2.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:与固定壁相邻的两相对侧壁设有延伸至插口处的导引槽,定位件设有与该等导引槽相配合导引部。
3.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:定位件设有梳状槽口,各端子倾斜部的末端分别与各槽口配合。
4.如权利要求3所述的电连接器,其特征在于:定位件的槽口壁上设有向槽口的开口端延伸的凸筋。
5.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:定位件设有向相对两侧凸出的卡块,对应侧壁上设有楔形块,卡块与楔形块相配合。
6.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:固定壁靠近插口部位设有从该固定壁外侧延伸至固定壁内侧的若干端子槽,端子弯曲部收容于端子槽中。
7.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:端子设有连接弯曲部与倾斜部并与侧壁平行的平直部,该平直部紧贴于定位壁的内侧。
8.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:端子固定壁设有贯通固定壁的开口,端子槽设于开口靠近底壁的一侧。
