Abstract

本实用新型涉及一种电连接器,其包括有插头、印刷电路板及导电单元,其中导电单元安装在印刷电路板上,包括有导电端子及成型在端子周围的绝缘本体,并连同印刷电路板一起滑动收容在插头的导槽内。嵌合装置则用来确保印刷电路板固接在插头内。而端子收容槽则设在插头上并具有一从插头后端向外凸伸的唇缘。每一唇缘均与对应导电端子的尾部末端相配接,以防止导电端子在与对接连接器相组接的过程中产生变形。

Description

电连接器
本实用新型涉及一种电连接器,尤其是指一种可将印刷电路板滑动收容在其内并可对之进行拆卸的高速传输连接器。
高速传输连接器通常用来提高工作站、主机、大型机及存储器间的高速数据传输。现有高速传输连接器均包括有插头,该插头上设有一凹槽,以用来收容其上组设有若干个导电端子的印刷电路板,该印刷电路板是从插头的顶面组入,以将印刷电路板嵌固在插头内。然而,该种组入方法将使导电端子的自由端在插头内自由浮动,以当导电端子与对接插座上的端子接触时,无法防止该端子产生变形。另外,电路板与插头间的配合,也无法确保固接在其内的印刷电路板在信号传输过程中不会产生不利的影响。因此,实有必要设计出一种改进型高速传输连接器,以克服现有技术中的问题。
本实用新型目的在于提供一种具有嵌合装置的高速传输连接器,其可将安装有导电单元的电路板滑动收容在插头的凹槽内,以避免端子尾部产生变形及将印刷电路板稳固夹持在插头内。
本实用新型的技术方案是这样的,该电连接器包括有插头、印刷电路板及安装在该印刷电路板上的导电单元,其中导电单元包括有若干个导电端子及成型在其周围的绝缘本体,并连同印刷电路板一起滑动收容在插头上的狭槽内,而插头上锁固臂的自由末端与导电单元上绝缘本体的对应锁固凸块相嵌合,以确保将印刷电路板固接在插头内。端子收容槽则设在插头上,且每一端子收容槽均具有一从插头后端向外凸伸的唇缘。每一唇缘与对应导电端子的尾部末端均相配接,因而可防止导电端子在与对接插座连接器相组接的过程中产生变形。
与现有技术相比较,本实用新型具有如下优点:
1.可防止端子产生变形。
2.可将印刷电路板稳固夹持在本实用新型的插头内。
下面结合附图及实施例对本实用新型作进一步的说明。

请参照图1所示,本实用新型包括有插头1、导电单元2及印刷电路板3,其中导电单元2又包括有若干个导电端子20及成型在这些端子20周围的绝缘本体21。
插头1是由绝缘材料制成,其在顶面上设有凹陷部10。该凹陷部10通露于插头1的前端面,端子收容槽11则设在插头1的顶面靠近后端的一对端部凸块12间,且这些端子收容槽11与凹陷部10相互连通。侧壁13则从插头1的两相对侧边靠近前端位置处向上延伸而成。且每一侧壁13在其内壁面上均设有一与凹陷部10相连通的导槽14,凹口15则设在每一侧壁13靠近对应的端部凸块12处。每一弹性锁固臂16则自侧壁13水平向后延伸到对应的凹口15内,且每一锁固臂16向下成型有凸出的自由端17。
导电端子20以彼此相互平行的方式固置在绝缘本体21内,以使其弯折的尾部末端22自其上向后凸伸,而与之相对的焊接端23则自其上向前凸伸。并在绝缘本体21两相对的侧表面上射出成型有一对三角形锁固凸块24。导电端子20的焊接端23与印刷电路板3的后端部相焊接。且该印刷电路板3在其后端角落处设有一对缺角30。
再请参照图3、4所示,印刷电路板3及导电单元2均以滑动方式收容在导槽14内,其中每一锁固臂16的自由端17沿着对应的锁固凸块24的倾斜面滑动。且该锁固臂16直到导电端子20被完全收容在对应的端子收容槽11内后才会产生变形。进而使锁固臂16的自由末端17的后表面紧靠在锁固块24的前表面上(如图2所示),以使该锁固臂16与锁固块24形成一嵌合锁固装置,且其间的配接可确保印刷电路板3固接在插头1内。当需将印刷电路板3自插头1上移除时,可通过手摁动锁固臂16使之变形而使锁固凸块24及印刷电路板3从导槽14内滑出。
每一端子收容槽11在插头1的后端向外凸伸有唇缘18,每一唇缘18在印刷电路板3收容到插头1内时,其可与对应的导电端子20的尾部末端22相配接。而该唇缘18的设置,主要是用来防止导电端子20在与对接连接器(未图示)组接时因疏忽而产生变形。
本实用新型的导电单元2及与之连接的印刷电路板3,均以水平滑动的插入方式组入插头1内,其中印刷电路板3在插入过程中,是通过侧壁13上的导槽14来导引移动。在插入之后,则完全收容在侧壁13上的导槽14内,导电端子20的尾部末端22则被预压到对应的唇缘18内,以防止导电端子20产生变形。相反,现有插头通常是将导电单元及印刷电路板从其顶部安装在其内部,但因该插头在其顶部安装位置处没有用以保护导电端子的唇缘,因而其同样不能提供对印刷电路板适当的支撑。

Claims (9)

1.一种电连接器,包括有插头、印刷电路板及导电单元,导电单元包括有至少一导电端子及成型在该导电端子周围的绝缘本体,其特征在于:所述插头在每一侧壁内壁面上设有至少厂导槽,并在其上对称设有一凹口,弹性锁固臂则自每一侧壁上延伸到该凹口内,且延伸设有自由末端,在绝缘本体的两相对端侧表面上凸设有一对锁固凸块,通过锁固凸块与前述锁固臂上的自由末端相嵌接,可将印刷电路板固持在插头内,在每一端子收容槽适当位置处凸伸有唇缘,且每一唇缘均与对应的导电端子的尾部末端相配接。
2.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述每一唇缘是从插头的后端凸出延伸到对应的端子收容槽内。
3.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述锁固臂的自由末端向下延伸且其后侧表面与对应的锁固凸块的前侧表面相抵接。
4.如权利要求1或3所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述锁固凸块呈三角形。
5.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:插头的顶表面上设有凹陷部,且凹陷部通露于插头的前端面。
6.如权利要求5所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述端子收容槽设在靠近插头的后端位置处。
7.如权利要求1或5所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述侧壁从插头的前端向上延伸而成。
8.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述凹口设在每一侧壁接近插头的后端位置处。
9.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述印刷电路板的后端角落处设有一对缺角。
