Abstract

一种外表面可局部发光的聚合物光纤,涉及到对现有聚合物光纤的改进。本光纤的特点在于在纤芯和外保护皮层中间有光线弥散层。当光源照射光纤端部时,该光纤外表面可以通体发光,也可以根据需要制成只有局部外表面可以发光的光纤。该光纤由于导光传光面积大大增加,因而具有省电、节能,使用寿命长的优点,用途广泛,不受空中、水下及坑道等限制,可用于机场跑道、高速公路、矿井、游泳池、医疗器械、广告标牌以及装璜、装饰之用。

Description

外表面可局部发光的聚合物光纤
一种外表面可局部发光的聚合物光纤,涉及到对现有聚合物光纤的改进。
现有的光导纤维一般都由纤芯和皮层两部份组成,光源照射其一端,光纤作为传输光能的介质波导,把光能传输至另一端,面在其外表面是不发光和不漏光的;这种仅仅由端面发光的光纤,显然导光面积太小,不适用于要求发光面积较大的场合,面尤其对有些需要局部外表面发光的制品,现有的聚合物光纤难以达到。
本实用新型在于提供一种当光源照射端面后,外表面可以通体发光也可以局部发光的聚合物光纤。
本实用新型的技术方案如下所述:在纤芯1和外保护皮层3中间设有光线弥散层2。采用透明的丙烯酸酯类的共聚物为纤芯1;光线弥散层2采用低折射率的含氟树脂制成具有弥散光功能的半透明的中间层,其厚度为0.5~1000μm:根据需要沿光纤长度方向全部有光线弥散层2,则光纤外表面可以通体发光:若局部有光线弥散层2,则可以局部外表面发光。外保护皮层3采用透明聚合物、如聚四氟乙烯、聚乙烯、聚丙烯等。
本光纤的特点是导光面积大,端面照射后,外表面可以局部或通体发光,具有省电、节能、使用寿命长的优点,用途广泛,不受空中,水下及坑道等限制,可用于机场跑道、高速公路、矿井、游泳池、医疗器械、广告标牌以及装璜、装饰之用。

实施例:采用折射率N1为1.49的透明聚甲基丙酸甲酯为纤芯1,直径为2mm;采用聚三氟氯乙烯的醋酸溶液制成半透明的光线弥散层2,该层厚度为30μm,折射率N2为1.42;采用聚氯乙烯透明树脂为外保护皮层3,其折射率N3-1.53,该层厚度为500μm;该光纤可在-20~+50℃条件下长期使用。

1、一种外表面可局部发光的聚合物光纤,由纤芯和皮层组成,其特征在于在纤芯1和外保护皮层3中间设有光线弥散层2。
2、根据权利要求1所述的聚合物光纤,其特征在于光线弥散层2的厚度为0.5~1000μm。
3、根据权利要求1、2所述的聚合物光纤,其特征在于沿光纤长度方向全部有光线弥散层2。
4、根据权利要求1、2的述的聚合物光纤,其特征在于沿光纤长度方向局部有光线弥散层2。
