when the terminal lock (3) is moved to the pre-lock position, the terminal lock (3) is separated from the terminal (8) to allow the terminal (8) to be inserted into the housing (1) or pulled out from the housing (1);
when the terminal lock (3) is moved to the final lock position, the terminal lock (3) engages with the terminal (8) to lock the terminal (8) in the housing (1).
7. The connector end cap assembly of claim 6 wherein:
the terminal lock (3) includes:
a frame (31); and
an elastic beam (32) having both ends connected to the frame (31),
second protrusions (32 a, 32 b) are formed on the elastic beam (32), the second protrusions (32 a, 32 b) being for engaging with the first protrusions (22 a) on the connector end cap (2) to hold the terminal locking member (3) in the pre-lock position or the final-lock position.
8. The connector end cap assembly of claim 7 wherein:
the second protrusions (32 a, 32 b) include a pre-lock protrusion (32 a) and a final lock protrusion (32 b), the pre-lock protrusion (32 a) and the final lock protrusion (32 b) being spaced apart in a direction in which the terminal lock (3) is inserted into the terminal lock slot (202);
when the terminal lock (3) is moved to the pre-lock position, the first projection (22 a) engages with the pre-lock projection (32 a) to hold the terminal lock (3) in the pre-lock position;
when the terminal lock (3) is moved to the final lock position, the first projection (22 a) engages with the final lock projection (32 b) to hold the terminal lock (3) in the final lock position.
9. The connector end cap assembly of claim 7 wherein:
a pair of elastic buckles (23) are formed on the end cover body (21), and one sides of the pair of elastic buckles (23) are respectively adjacent to and connected with the top wall and the bottom wall of the terminal locking piece slot (202);
raised support portions (33) for supporting the top wall and the bottom wall of the terminal lock slot (202) are formed on the upper and lower sides of the frame body (31) of the terminal lock (3), respectively, so as to prevent the pair of elastic buckles (23) from moving in a direction of separating from the housing (1).
10. A connector, comprising:
a housing (1) having a mating end (11) for mating with a mating housing;
a terminal (8) provided in the housing (1); and
the connector end cap assembly of any one of claim 5-9,
the end cover body (21) is inserted into a port (101) of the opposite end (11) of the housing (1), and the terminal locking piece (3) is inserted into the terminal locking piece slot (202) for locking the terminal (8) in the housing (1).
11. The connector of claim 10, further comprising:
the first sealing ring (4) is sleeved on the opposite end (11) of the shell (1) and is suitable for being radially extruded between the opposite end (11) of the shell (1) and the opposite shell of the opposite connector so as to realize sealing between the two.
12. The connector of claim 11, wherein:
positioning protrusions (112) are formed on the opposite end (11) of the shell (1), and two axial ends of the first sealing ring (4) respectively lean against between a positioning surface (112 a) of the positioning protrusions (112) and a flange part (22) of the connector end cover (2) so as to realize axial positioning of the first sealing ring (4).
13. The connector of claim 10, wherein:
a projection (11 a) is formed on an inner wall of the mating end (11) of the housing (1), and the projection (11 a) is engaged with a catch groove (23 a) on an elastic catch (23) of the connector end cap (2) to fix the connector end cap (2) to the housing (1) of the connector.
14. The connector of claim 10, wherein:
the housing (1) further has an outer peripheral wall (13) surrounding the counter-end (11), with a gap (103) between the outer peripheral wall (13) and the counter-end (11) allowing the counter-housing to be inserted.
15. The connector of claim 10, wherein:
the housing (1) also has a mounting end (12), the terminals (8) being inserted into the housing (1) via a mounting port (102) of the mounting end (12);
the axis of the mounting port (102) of the housing (1) is perpendicular to the axis of the port (101) of the mating end (11) of the housing (1).
16. The connector of claim 15, wherein:
the terminal (8) includes:
a terminal body (81) formed with a notch (81 a) for engagement with an end of the terminal lock (3);
a contact spring piece (82) provided in the terminal body (81) for electrically contacting a mating terminal inserted through a port (101) of the mating end (11); and
a locking spring (83) mounted on the terminal body (81) for locking the terminal (8) in the housing (1).
17. The connector of claim 16, further comprising:
a cable (6) having a conductor core (61) electrically connected to the terminal body (81); and
an end cover (5) sleeved on the mounting end (12) of the shell (1) and provided with a cable through hole,
the cable (6) protrudes into the housing (1) via a cable passage opening in the end cap (5).
18. The connector of claim 17, further comprising:
a second sealing ring (7) sleeved on the cable (6) and inserted into the mounting port (102) of the shell (1),
the second sealing ring (7) is pressed between the inner wall of the mounting port (102) of the housing (1) and the cable (6) to achieve a seal therebetween.
19. The connector of claim 18, wherein:
the end cap (5) comprises:
an inner peripheral wall part (53) inserted into a mounting port (102) of the housing (1);
an outer peripheral wall part (51) surrounding the inner peripheral wall part (53) and fitted over the mounting end (12) of the housing (1); and
an end wall portion (52) connected to one end of the inner peripheral wall portion (53) and the outer peripheral wall portion (51),
a catch (54) is formed on the peripheral wall portion (51), a boss (12 a) is formed on the mounting end (12) of the housing (1), and the boss (12 a) is engaged with a catch groove (54 a) on the catch (54) to fix the end cover (5) to the mounting end (12) of the housing (1).
20. The connector of claim 19, wherein:
the second seal ring (7) comprises:
a sealing body (70) which is sleeved on the cable (6); and
and a seal connection portion (71) which is injection-molded into the inner peripheral wall portion (53) of the end cap (5) so as to be integrated with the end cap (5).
