As shown in connection with fig. 2 and 3, the chain saw 100 includes an oil reservoir 50 at least partially mounted within the second housing 12, the oil reservoir 50 including an oil can 51 for a user to store lubricating oil for lubricating the chain 30 and a can cover 52 removably coupled to the oil can 51. The second housing 12 is provided with a through opening 121 through which the pot lid 52 passes. The oilcan 51 is entirely made of a light-transmitting material. The side of the second housing 12 remote from the bisecting plane 101 is provided with a window 122 exposing a portion of the oil can 51, the window 122 being provided at a corner of the longitudinal front end of the second housing 12 and inclined toward the user for the user to observe the remaining oil amount in the oil reservoir 50. The window 122 is provided as a rectangular hole penetrating the inside and outside of the second housing 12, and has two sides longer than the other two sides in the vertical direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction.
The longitudinal rear end of the guide plate 20 is fixed in the first housing 11, the oil storage device 50 and the window 122 are arranged in the second housing 12, so that the guide plate 20 and the window 122 are respectively positioned on two opposite sides of the bisecting plane 101, a user stands on one side of the second housing 12 to operate the chain saw 100, the side far away from the guide plate 20 is far away from the guide plate 20, the safety of the user is improved, and the position of the window 122 enables the user to observe the residual oil quantity in the oil storage device 50 more conveniently.

In the present embodiment, the lighting device 60 is installed between the first housing 11 and the second housing 12 and symmetrically disposed with respect to the bisecting plane 101, and the lighting device 60 is at least partially located above the guide plate 20 in the vertical direction, so that the cutting area can be illuminated in all aspects, and the user's sight is prevented from being blocked to affect the cutting.
The lighting device 60 includes a control board 61 electrically connected to the battery pack 40, a light emitting element 62 provided on the control board 61, and a light-transmitting cover 63 connected to the control board 61. The light-transmitting cover 63 is entirely made of a light-transmitting material. The light-transmitting cover 63 is mounted to the longitudinal front end of the housing 10. The translucent cover 63 includes a front end portion 631 disposed parallel to the front end of the housing 10, a connection portion 632 extending longitudinally rearward from the front end portion 631, and a fixing portion 633 extending circumferentially from between the front end portion 631 and the connection portion 632. The fixing portion 633 is snapped with the first housing 11 and the second housing 12, thereby fixing the lighting device 60 between the first housing 11 and the second housing 12.
As shown in fig. 4 and 6, in a transverse direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, two opposite connecting portions 632 are respectively provided with a clamping groove 634, and two lateral sides of the control board 61 are provided with clamping tongues 611 which are matched with the clamping grooves 634, so as to connect the control board 61 to the connecting portions 632. The longitudinal rear end of the connection portion 632 is disposed obliquely such that the angle between the front end portion 631 of the light-transmitting cover 63 and the control board 61 is set to an acute angle. The side of the control board 61 provided with the light emitting element 62 is disposed obliquely downward so that the light emitted from the light emitting element 62 is projected toward the guide plate 20 and the oil reservoir 50 through the front end portion 631 and the connection portion 632 of the light-transmitting cover 63.
The lighting device 60 is located longitudinally in front of the auxiliary handle 14, and the window 122 is also located longitudinally in front of the auxiliary handle 14 and vertically below the lighting device 60, so that a portion of the light emitted by the lighting device 60 can pass through the oil can 51 from the space inside the second housing 12 and project out of the window 122, thus allowing a user to directly observe the amount of oil in the oil can 51 in a relatively dim working scene.
Referring to fig. 1, the chain saw 100 further includes a control switch 17 electrically connected to the control board 61 to control the lighting device 60, the control switch 17 being disposed in an operation area 132 at the top of the main handle 13 such that a user can press the trigger control switch 17 forward while holding the main control area of the main handle 13 with one hand, thereby turning on or off the lighting device 60 as appropriate, or adjusting the light intensity.
Of course, the lighting device 60 may be installed directly in the second housing 12 and at least partially located directly above the oil storage device 50 in the vertical direction, instead of being installed between the first housing 11 and the second housing 12, so long as it is possible to achieve that a part of light is projected from the inside of the housing 10 to the window 122 while the workpiece is being cut by the lighting. In addition, in the above embodiment, the control switch 17 is disposed in the operation area 132 of the main handle 13, but in other embodiments, the control switch 17 may be disposed on the housing 10 below the auxiliary holding area 141 of the auxiliary handle 14, and the distance between the auxiliary holding area 141 and the housing 10 is smaller than the finger length of a general user, so that the control switch 17 may be triggered downward when the user holds the auxiliary handle 14 with one hand.

The chain saw comprises a shell, a guide plate and a chain, wherein the guide plate is installed on the shell and longitudinally extends out of the front end of the shell, the chain is sleeved on the guide plate, the shell comprises a first shell for installing the guide plate and a second shell connected with the first shell, the first shell and the second shell are mutually connected with each other by a bisecting surface opposite to each other, the longitudinal rear end of the guide plate is installed in the first shell, the chain saw comprises an oil storage device at least partially installed in the second shell, a window for a user to observe residual oil in the oil storage device is formed in one side, away from the bisecting surface, of the second shell, and the guide plate and the window are respectively positioned on two opposite sides of the bisecting surface; wherein the chain saw comprises a lighting device mounted to at least one of the first housing and the second housing, wherein light emitted by the lighting device at least partially irradiates the guide plate and irradiates the surroundings of the second housing away from the guide plate, wherein part of the light emitted by the lighting device passes through the oil storage device from the inside of the second housing and then is emitted from the window.
2. The chain saw as set forth in claim 1, wherein: the lighting device is mounted in the second housing and is at least partially located directly above the oil storage device in a vertical direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction.

The chain saw as set forth in claim 1, wherein: the lighting device is arranged between the first shell and the second shell and symmetrically arranged relative to the bisecting plane, and is at least partially positioned above the guide plate in the vertical direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction.

A chain saw according to claim 2 or 3, wherein: the lighting device comprises a control board, a light-emitting element arranged on the control board and a light-transmitting cover connected with the control board, wherein one side of the control board provided with the light-emitting element is arranged in a downward inclined mode so that light rays emitted by the light-emitting element penetrate through the light-transmitting cover to face the guide plate and the oil storage device.

The chain saw as set forth in claim 4, wherein: the light-transmitting cover comprises a front end part which is parallel to the front end surface of the shell and a connecting part which extends longitudinally and backwards from the front end part, and the control panel is connected to the connecting part and an included angle between the control panel and the front end part is set to be an acute angle.
6. The chain saw as set forth in claim 5, wherein: the window is a rectangular hole penetrating through the second shell, and the rectangular hole is arranged at the corner of the longitudinal front end of the second shell.

The chain saw as set forth in claim 1, wherein: the chain saw comprises a main handle and an auxiliary handle, wherein the main handle is formed or connected to the rear end of the shell in the longitudinal direction, the auxiliary handle is arranged in front of the main handle in the longitudinal direction, and the lighting device is positioned in front of the auxiliary handle in the longitudinal direction.

The chain saw as in claim 7, wherein: the main handle is provided with a main holding area for holding by a user and an operation area positioned at the longitudinal front end of the main holding area, the chain saw further comprises a control switch for controlling the lighting device, and the control switch is arranged in the operation area so that the user can hold the main holding area by one hand and simultaneously trigger the control switch positioned in the operation area forwards.

The chain saw as in claim 7, wherein: the auxiliary handle is provided with an auxiliary holding area for holding by a user, the shell is provided with a control switch for controlling the lighting device, and the control switch is positioned below the auxiliary holding area in the vertical direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction so that the user can hold the auxiliary holding area by one hand and simultaneously trigger the control switch downwards.
10. The chain saw as recited in claim 8 or 9, wherein: the window is located in front of the auxiliary handle and below the lighting device in a vertical direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction.
