6. The door assembly of claim 5, wherein said first strap portion, said striker reinforcement panel and said door inner panel are joined by at least one third weld;
the second lap joint part, the latch reinforcing plate and the vehicle door inner plate are connected through at least one fourth welding point.
7. The door assembly of any of claims 1-3, wherein a fifth weld is provided between the web segment and the door inner panel, the fifth weld being spaced less than 30mm from an upper edge of the door inner panel.
8. The door assembly of claim 7, wherein a gap between the door inner panel and the web section is 0.3mm or less at an upper edge position of the door inner panel.
9. The door assembly of claim 8, wherein the upper edge of the door inner panel is connected to the web segment by a laser weld, the laser weld having a length of 40mm or greater.
10. A vehicle comprising a door assembly as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 9.
